For an elegant and long-lasting option, consider Singapore Orchids, which thrive in warm settings with regular mist spraying to maintain hydration. Under ideal conditions, they offer a prolonged vase life of up to 3 weeks. Place them away from heating vents, direct sunlight, and ripening fruit, as ethylene gas emitted by fruit may cause premature wilting.

The venue also houses a quaint café serving great coffee. Our pieces are available for purchase onsite.

Late last year, Resinova was established as a new business venture with a friend, combining our expertise in resin and botanicals. I cultivate the majority of the botanicals utilised in our work, and we collaborate on the design of our bespoke pieces. We are fortunate to source our timber from Timber Obsession at Ningi. When I am not in the studio creating floral arrangements, I am harvesting stock to preserve for our pieces. We have a few exciting projects on the horizon.
From Friday, our pieces will be available for purchase at the Bribie Island Arts Society.

Now that the busy period surrounding Mother’s Day has concluded, it is time to reorganise, replenish supplies and refocus on work. Every florist encounters the issue of leftover materials.
I typically create miniature arrangements and donate them or preserve the flowers for future use. In this instance, the combination of colours and textures were too pretty not to utilise in a headpiece. I suppose beauty truly is in the eye of the beholder.
