While all cushions and quilts I do are treated with the love and care this one is even more so. This one is made from shirts that belonged to my beautiful crazy Nan. My cousin from SA messaged and asked if I could make a quilt for her Mum. Her only request was that the green top that Nan wore to her wedding was featured heavily. This is the fears shape in the centre.

Here is something I have been work on for 31 years since I made christening gowns for my twins. They have evolved a little over the years. Originally they only had one small band of lace around the bottom and when my beautiful grand babies came along I added more lace. Over the years they have been worn by many. My kids, my baby sister, my nephews and a foster child of my mum and dads. Each time they have been worn I have added the name on the back. As you can see the boys are out weighing the girls. Today I have added the name of my newest granddaughter as she joins the girls who wore the gown with family pride. Now to give them a wash and mend anything before her big day.

Last year I received a message from a mother of the bride to be. She wanted to do something extra special for her daughters big day.
After a few chats she bought me her 30 year old wedding dress. From that we decided to make a robe for her daughter to wear while getting pampered on her wedding day and a clutch purse for those little things we girls can’t go anywhere without. Please see comments on the photos.
