DTF (Direct to Film) printing is a revolutionary method for creating high-quality, durable, and vibrant designs on various fabrics. Unlike traditional screen printing or heat transfer vinyl, DTF allows for full-colour, detailed prints with superior flexibility and wash resistance.
How Does DTF Printing Work?
1. Design Creation: A digital design is printed onto a special PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) film using DTF-specific inks.
2. Powder Application: A hot-melt adhesive powder is applied to the printed design.
3. Curing Process: The film is then heated to cure the adhesive, making it ready for transfer.
4. Heat Transfer: Using a heat press, the design is transferred onto the fabric at high temperatures.
5. Peeling & Final Touch: Once cooled, the film is peeled off, leaving a vibrant, durable design.

Trucolour DigitalTransfers Presents. Steps to Heat Press on

Pockets1. Choose The Right Heat Transfer : Make sure your material is suitable for the fabric of the pocket.
2. Prepare the Garment: Lay the garment flat and smooth out any wrinkles. if the pocket is sewn onto a shirt or jacket , insert a pressing pillow or foam pad underneath to create an even surface.
3. Align the design: Position the design properly on the pocket. Use heat -resistant tape if necessary to keep it from shifting
4.Adjust Heat Press Settings: Set the correct temperature, time, and pressure based on the material.
5. Press processing: Place a teflon sheet or parchment papaer over design. Apply firm , even pressure using the heat press.
6.Peel & Final Check: Press again for few seconds if needed to ensure full adhesion
Tip: Test on scrap fabric before doing the final press.
