I will be exhibiting with a diverse collection of WA artists in a few weeks time, at the Painted Tree Gallery in Northcliffe...Opening night is on the 11th of March, and then the gallery is open daily for over a month. I am in awe of the featured costuming work by Alana Grant in the pic below...I'm going to attend to see this alone!

Yesterday one of the organisers from a local Art Auction said to me "You're that marsupial artist" I looked up and said, "Oh, I guess I am!". Working out this new image on a slightly damp grey day in Perth, I do wish I was viewing this little animal in person. Multiple drawings later, I may be close to depicting a Western Ringtail Possum...although the important tail isn't quite right yet! When scouring the internet for photo references I came upon two community groups that care so deeply about the plight of these Critically Endangered native beauties and invest time into rehabilitating injured creatures and their ongoing protection: Possum Friends South West | Facebook
