Plant recall – please check your Bulbine purchased from us.

We’ve recently discovered that some plants supplied to the Mount Pleasant Environment Centre / Recreate as native Bulbine bulbosa were unfortunately Onion W**d.

The two can look remarkably similar before flowering, which is how the mix-up came to light.

We know that a few of these plants have been purchased from us over the past few months, so if you’ve bought a Bulbine bulbosa from the Environment Centre, please have a look at the comparison in the photo.

If you think you have Onion W**d, please remove it and bring it back to us, we’ll happily provide a refund or replacement native plant.

What a beautiful afternoon we shared on Sunday for Power of Observation 🌿
With warm sunshine and the sounds of frogs and birds around us, we gathered in a circle for a yarn with Peramangk mother and grandmother Courtney Hunter-Hebberman.
Courtney generously shared Peramangk stories and knowledge, encouraging us to slow down, notice the signs of animals around us and think more deeply about our relationship with Country. We also learnt about cool fires and the important role they can play in caring for landscapes.
It was especially lovely to see people of all ages so engaged, from less than year old to over 70. Our group included locals from Mount Pleasant, Williamstown, Springton, Eden Valley and Mount Torrens, as well as families who had travelled from the city for a day in Mount Pleasant.
We finished by sharing a delicious spread from the Mount Pleasant Bakery and continuing the many thoughtful conversations sparked throughout the afternoon.
A huge thank you to Courtney for so generously sharing her stories, knowledge and time with us, and to everyone who came along with such warmth and curiosity.

This event was made possible thanks to Green Adelaide and Northern and Yorke Landscape Board

If you’d like another opportunity to hear Courtney share, you can find her at:

🌸 THE MAKER’S TABLE: MOSAIC 🌸
Very excited for our next Maker’s Table! It’s been our most requested workshop, but we do have very limited spot so get in fast to secure your spot!

Join local maker Yvonne Dalton for a relaxed introduction to the art of mosaic, creating your own 30 × 30cm garden piece across two Saturday morning sessions.

In the first workshop, you’ll learn how to cut, arrange and place your mosaic pieces. Then we’ll come back together two weeks later to grout and finish your creation.

No experience needed, just come along, have a cuppa, morning tea, learn something new and enjoy a creative morning in lovely company.

📅 Saturday 12 & Saturday 26 September
⏰ 10:30am–noon.
📍 Recreate, Mount Pleasant Environment Centre
🎟 One booking includes both workshop sessions
💛 Sliding scale tickets $10–$50

All tools and materials are provided, however you’re also very welcome to bring along your own special pieces if you have something you’d like to incorporate.

Our sliding scale pricing means you simply choose the ticket price that best suits your circumstances. Every ticket is for the same workshop and includes the same materials and experience.

Come and make something beautiful from something rescued 🥰.

Bookings essential, places are very limited. Book via link in comments
