Join our ‘Beanie Firstival’ this Winter!

We’re inviting our creative community to be part of our cosy and colourful Beanie Firstival & Exhibition this July.

Have you made a beanie you’re proud of or keen to get to work on a new creation?

Whether it’s bold, quirky, classic or completely one-of-a-kind, we’d love to showcase your work.

📅 Exhibition dates: Wednesday 1 July to Saturday 18 July
📍 Nuriootpa Library
🥳 Who can enter? All ages and skill levels welcome
🎫 FREE to register one (or more!) beanies

This celebration of community and the simple joy of making is your chance to share your craft, inspire others and be part of something warm and wonderful this winter.

🔥🌾 Fire, Sky & Seed with .stories 🌾🔥

Join us on Country for a unique, family-friendly gathering as we come together around fire, look to sky, and work with seed.

This immersive experience invites you to slow down, connect with Country, and explore your place in reconciliation through shared learning, story and food.

✨ What to expect:
– Yarning circle with proud Kaurna & Narrungga woman Jade Brook
– Native food experience with Arrernte chef Symon Conway-Lyden
– Hands-on learning about Caring for Country
– Reflection, connection, and seeds to take home 🌱

🌿📷 This weekend is the City Nature Challenge, and Mount Pleasant is full of amazing wildlife waiting to be discovered!

Get outside enjoy the sunshine, take a walk around the garden, creek, paddock or local reserve, and snap photos of any wild plants, birds, insects, fungi or animals you find. Every observation helps build a picture of the biodiversity in our region.

How to join:

✨ Announcing the 2nd Maker’s Table workshop in our series! ✨

Our first event sold out within half a day, and due to the amazing response, Lisa has kindly offered to run two sessions this time – a morning and afternoon workshop – so more people can join in and learn these beautiful skills.

🧵 Slow Stitching with Lisa 🧵

Join Lisa around the Maker’s Table for a relaxed introduction to slow stitching. In a small, friendly group you’ll learn about selecting upcycled materials and creating your own unique stitched piece.

Lisa will guide you through some basic stitches, share tips and tricks, and bring along plenty of gorgeous samples for inspiration.

✨ All tools and materials provided✨ Feel free to bring your own material and needles if you prefer✨ Tea, coffee & biscuits included

📍 Location: Recreate – corner of Phillis Street & Showground Road

🎟️ Cost: To keep these workshops accessible, we offer sliding-scale pricing from $10–$50.
