Meet the Face Behind Squish Me! ✨
Hello everyone! Since we’ve gained such a lovely little community, I thought it was time to properly introduce myself. 👋
My name is Jamie, originally from a small town called Wagga Wagga and I have been living in Mudgee since 2017 after my family and I moved here to be closer to our loved ones.
A little about me… 💛
I’m 33 years old and have been working in early childhood education for the past 6 years. I absolutely love working with children—it brings me so much joy. Building relationships with children and their families is one of the most rewarding parts of my job, and I’m so lucky to now work with school-aged children. It’s a little different from working with children aged 0–4, but I love every minute of it.
I’m a strong believer in providing children with things that help them feel safe, supported, and regulated. That belief is one of the reasons I decided to start Squish Me. While squishies are lots of fun, they can also provide comfort, encourage sensory play, and help with stress and fidgeting.
When I’m not looking after other people’s children, I’m busy looking after my own! Between school, activities, and everyday mum life, there’s never a dull moment. You’ll usually find me with a coffee in hand, listening to a true crime podcast while cleaning, or spending quality time with my family.
Fun fact about me! ✨
I lived on the Gold Coast for 5 years before moving to Mudgee in 2017.
I also have two beautiful daughters aged 14 and 9, who have been my biggest supporters while I’ve been starting Squish Me. They love helping me unpack products, pick their favourites, and celebrate every order that comes through. (They even try to keep them all) 🤔😂
Starting Squish Me has definitely been a leap of faith, but I’m so grateful for the amazing support I’ve already received from this wonderful community. Every follow, like, share, comment, and order means so much to me, and I’m excited to see where this little journey takes us. Im excited to look for new products that can help children even further✨☺️❤️
