An authentic General Norman Schwarzkopf / Stormin’ Norman signed desert choc chip pattern covered US PASGT Helmet.

This is only the third, and most likely to be last, of the autographed helmets that he signed for us when we sponsored him for his speaking tour of Australia in 1998 released for sale from our private collection.

The helmet comes with certification, an image of him signing the covers with us and supporting documentation of the speaking tour for which we sponsored him.

This is the first memorial to the Battle of Coral–Balmoral, Australia's deadliest encounter in the Vietnam War, recently unveiled in Gundagai. Sabre happily loaned an AK47 rifle that was used as the basis for the mould used in the statue to help with this great project.

The statue depicts a soldier being rescued by Private Richard Norden, who was awarded a Victoria Cross for his bravery in the battle, having picked up an enemy AK47 during the fight.

Why Military Advisors on Film Sets Can’t Always Insist on 100% Accuracy.

We’ve all watched a war film or action movie and rolled our eyes at a scene that felt technically wrong. A tactic that would never be used. A weapon behaving unrealistically. A sniper shot that ignores the laws of physics. How and why does this happen with military advisors there to observe?

Before working as on-set military advisors ourselves, we probably reacted much the same way. But after spending time inside the film industry, we developed a far greater appreciation for why these inaccuracies happen, and why they are most often intentional.
