Do you try play invitations more than once?

✅ IKEA Flitsat trays allow you to put a lid on sensory experiences and come back to them the following day
✅ I like to role play some ways to play with the tray the first time with my child then leave it out for a week or so in our playroom
✅ If rice starts getting poured all over the floor or the resources get spread everywhere I will role play some appropriate play again or tidying up with my child
✅ It’s great to watch how play can evolve and change over the course of a week

I think it’s probably my teacher side that loves a week long theme. Do you do this or change it up daily?

Have you got some sick kiddos at home that need a quiet activity this weekend? 🙋

Playdough can be made in a flash ⚡️and is a great way to keep little hands busy while you get five minutes to yourself.

Just remember to discard any dough that you’ve used while your littles are sick after they use it a few times. You can even keep the dough separate by writing thier names on tupperware containers and the date used. 🤧

I like to use coconut oil to give the dough a nice feel but sometimes the smell can be quite strong. You can use any oil that you have in your kitchen and see what works!

If you don’t have nutmeg why not add some cinnamon or other spices. Gather leaves 🍁 from the garden and create a fun play invitation.

Happy World Bee Day!

I’m looking forward to setting up some fun bee inspired play ideas for my littles today.
