Clay and Glaze Pottery Creations

Clay and Glaze Pottery Creations My creative journey actually began with furniture upcycling. Later on it took a delightful turn towards pottery.

Being a succulent lover, I felt inspired to create small pots for my own collection. Today, I create and fire my pieces in my home studio.

We have a swirl! 🌀 Blueberries, cherry tomatoes, and a little bit of pottery physics in action. 🫐🍅
Adjusted the entry curvature and angle on this prototype, and it finally worked exactly how I envisioned. Nothing beats functional art that actually functions! 🤌✨

Things are looking a little different around the studio this week! 🖌️
My wheel and slab tables are on pause while I focus entirely on glazing everything made over the last few weeks, freeing up precious drying space for the next round of making!
Because I’m head-down in glaze work, new making content will be a bit quiet for a moment. Bear with me while I get this batch fired—the final reveals (and fresh making videos!) will be worth the wait! ✨

Spring might still be around the corner, but it’s already blooming on the studio bench! 🌸✨
I’ve been having so much fun shaping these flowers—a little piece of everlasting spring to bring indoors, no watering required.
Anyone else counting down the days for the warmer weather to arrive? ☀️🌿

Finding your center isn't about forcing the clay—it’s about meeting it halfway. 🌀

Centering always feels like the ultimate exercise in patience and presence. A quiet pause before the shaping begins.

Hope you’re finding a little moment of balance in your day today. ✨

There’s something so peaceful about catching the afternoon light across fresh carvings ✨

Soft shadows, raw textures, and those little clay trimmings left behind inside... sometimes the unfinished, raw stage is just as captivating as the final piece. 🌿

RIP to the remaining three vortex bowls 🪦
Once I realized the design wasn't working, these last three never made it to the kiln.
One of my favorite things about pottery is that until clay goes through the firing, every single mistake is 100% recyclable.

After a week of studio mishaps, it felt so good to slow down and create something bright! 🌼
Hand-building these daffodils is so relaxing—there’s something special about bringing a touch of spring into the studio before the actual flowers start popping up outside.
