Here's some rare American stuff I've found recently in my shop storeroom!
A very scarce and quite ingenious 1880s American Songbird Warbling Bird Whistle! When blowing the whistle, water in the little bulb gives the sound a bird-like warble and a small pushrod moves up and down to make the bird's tail wag and the beak open and close!!
The other is a hard-to-find genuine 1940s Kings Ranch (Texas) heavy Leather Briefcase/Attache Case. These leather items are renowned high-end products from a very historic American Company and seldom found in Australia.

I've found quite a stash of these NOS Clipsal black enamel conduit couplings in the shop storeroom - so let's see if I can find new homes for them! I would think there would be renovators doing up old houses somewhere, who would want to try and keep the original electrical conduit for authenticity!
These are 3/4" size and I've listed them on eBay and on Facebook Marketplace at $30 for a 1/2 dozen.

The shop piano has been upgraded!!
Of course, the old girl didn't get carted off to the tip - or burnt! As "the ultimate recycler" I had to carefully dismantle the 125 year old instrument and salvage everything I could! 😀

The time has come to retire our old, clapped-out community piano - but it's not going to be dumped! No way! Let's respectfully dismantle the old girl and see...

We had a chaotic but very enjoyable Christmas day and now have come back to work for a rest! 🤣🤣
