Just a little heads-up that Fabric Cartel will be closed this Friday for the Nambour Show public holiday.

If you need fabrics, supplies or a little creative inspiration, pop in and see us on Thursday, or we’ll be back open Saturday from 9.30am.

Knit it Forward Update 🖤

What began as a simple idea has grown into something truly special.

Over the past few months, our incredible Cartel community has knitted, crocheted and donated hundreds of handmade beanies, scarves, shawls, gloves and winter warmers for people in need across the Sunshine Coast and beyond.

Every stitch represents time, care and kindness.

From yarn donations to finished handmade items, the generosity has been overwhelming. Contributions arrived from all over the region, with many of you creating beautiful pieces for people you’ve never met, simply because you wanted someone else to feel warm, seen and cared for this winter.

As donations make their way to local organisations and community groups, we’re reminded that creativity has always been about more than making things. It’s about connection, community and looking after one another.

One special package has even made its way interstate, proving that kindness doesn’t recognise postcodes and that a handmade gift can carry warmth far beyond our local community.

To everyone who donated yarn, picked up needles, crocheted, knitted, delivered, sorted or supported this project - thank you.

You have helped wrap our community in warmth, one stitch at a time.

And somehow it arrived on what’s usually my day off… so clearly it’s here today for a reason. There’s not much of it, and honestly I’m tempted to take the whole collection home for myself 🤪😘
