What a week it has been! ☕🍲💛
We honestly don't know where to begin except with one simple word... thank you.
This week marked our very first week of homemade soups and the response from our community has completely blown us away. Every day this week we sold out of soups, cakes, sweet treats and now even Toby's surprise finger buns have joined the cabinet!
These finger buns are extra special because they happen to be one of my all time favourite treats, so waking up to find Toby had made them was a lovely surprise.
What has touched us most is the incredible support from our locals. Whether you've stopped in for a coffee, grabbed a bowl of soup, treated yourself to something sweet, brought a friend along, shared a post, or simply popped in to say hello, you've helped make this little space feel alive and welcoming.
We have listened to your feedback and it is clear that many of you wanted more than just sweet treats. Seeing how warmly you've embraced our soups has been wonderful, and we're already looking forward to bringing you more delicious options in the weeks ahead.
As we head into a new week, our cabinets will once again be filled with fresh baked goodies, hot coffee and homemade soups, ready for those cooler days.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for supporting our small family business. Your encouragement means more than you know.

Some people walk through your doors once. Others become part of your story. ❤️
Marion and Pauline have been two of our most loyal and cherished supporters, and today it was wonderful to see them enjoying a bowl of homemade soup together at the café.
As I looked over and saw them chatting and smiling, I was reminded that what makes a place special isn't the building, the coffee machine, or even the food. It's the people who fill it with life.
From the very beginning, Marion and Pauline have encouraged us, supported us, and believed in what we are creating. Their friendship, kindness, and continued support mean more to us than they probably realise.
Seeing them sitting together around the table felt like a glimpse of everything we hoped this space could become. A place where people feel welcome, where friendships are nurtured, and where community finds a home.
Thank you, Marion and Pauline, for being such an important part of our journey. We are truly grateful for your support and friendship. ❤️

A Chapter Closes, Another Begins 🌿

Today Toby made his last flower arrangement for Flowers Nambucca.

And truthfully… this feels emotional.

Flowers have been such a huge part of our story. Mother’s Days, birthdays, anniversaries, sympathy flowers, celebrations, heartbreak, remembrance. So many moments where flowers became a way of saying I love you, I’m thinking of you, I remember.

For a long time, we poured our hearts into Flowers Nambucca, and we are deeply grateful to every person who trusted us to create something meaningful for someone they cared about.

But life changes us.

In just a few days, on the 9th of June, it will be one year since my mum passed away.

Many of you know that for years I cared for her through dementia and illness. Caring for someone you love changes you. Losing them changes you too.

And through grief, something quietly became clearer.

In an Italian family, love is often expressed through food.

Food is care.

Food is comfort.

Food is how we gather.

It is soup when you are tired. Coffee at the kitchen table. Cake shared in conversation. Bread, warmth, company, someone making sure you have eaten.

As we moved through this past year, and as so many of you shared that you wanted more savoury food, homemade meals, soups, coffee, and a warm welcoming place to gather, something began to feel right.

Quietly, we realised we wanted to nourish people in a different way.

Flowers are beautiful, but they are also incredibly demanding, unpredictable, and labour intensive, especially for a small business run by just the two of us.

After a lot of reflection, we have made the decision to transition away from flowers and focus fully on the café side of the business.

This next chapter feels deeply personal.
It feels like care.
Care through food.
Care through warmth.
Care through conversation.
Care through community.

So here is Toby, holding the final flower arrangement created for Flowers Nambucca.
