Hey Crafty Friends

The bags are packed, the crafty goodies are ready, and Michelle’s Cards & Stamps is off to Paperific!

You’ll find us at Paperific at Hyatt Place, Essendon Fields, this Friday to Sunday, 21–23 August — and we’ve got LOTS to show you.

There’ll be stamps, dies, papers, inks and plenty of inspiration to tempt you. You know... all those things you absolutely need and definitely don’t already have something similar to at home.

And if you’re in the mood to get your hands inky, stop by Robyn’s Make & Take table and have a play!

Robyn has been busy preparing and will have stamps, inks and stencils ready to go, so pull up a chair, try something new and make a card with us. No need to worry about getting ink on your fingers — we consider that proof of a successful day at a craft show.

Come and say hello, have a browse, do a Make & Take and enjoy a fabulous crafty day with us.

Hey Crafty Friends!

The NEW Karen Burniston release has arrived at Michelle’s Cards & Stamps, and there are some seriously clever additions for all you pop-up addicts.

The new Gazebo Stage Add-ons transform the Stage Pop-up into a gorgeous little gazebo, complete with roof and railings. Add the classic Little Bench Pop-up and suddenly you’ve created the perfect garden scene. Flowers, vines, birthday parties, weddings, afternoon tea… we can already see the possibilities!

And then there are the new Cascade Pop-up dies. Choose from Round or Square Cascade Add-ons to dress up the mechanism and create all sorts of layered, interactive designs.

Basically, Karen has given us even more ways to make cards that cause the recipient to say - "Wait… HOW did you make that?!", which, as cardmakers, is pretty much the reaction we're aiming for.

Have you ever sat down to try a brand-new papercrafting technique with equal parts excitement and absolute terror?

You know the feeling...
"Will this work?"
"Have I just ruined my favourite piece of cardstock?"
"Where's the chocolate?"

Then, somehow... it all comes together.

That magical moment when you try a new papercrafting technique... and it actually works. Suddenly you're convinced you can make anything!

Of course, let's not forget the real hero of the crafting session—the emergency chocolate supply that got you through the moments of doubt.

So tell us... what's the last technique you tried that made you feel like a papercrafting genius? And more importantly... what chocolate was celebrating with you?

Hey Crafty Friends
Let's be honest... every cardmaker has made this promise at least once:

"Next year, I'm starting my Christmas cards in July."

Fast forward to December...

The Christmas music is playing, there's glitter in places glitter should never be, the die-cutting machine is getting a better workout than you have all year, and you're wondering if anyone will notice if the cards arrive just after Christmas.

You confidently tell yourself:
"I work better under pressure."

You reassure your family:
"I'm almost finished!"

You convince yourself:
"I only have another 47 cards to make..."

And somehow, despite the late nights, the empty coffee mugs, and the frantic search for that one stamp you know you put somewhere safe, the cards get finished. (Usually.)

Then, as you drop the last card into the post box, you make that familiar vow...

"Never again. Next year I'll start in July!"

It's the crafting equivalent of New Year's resolutions—we mean it every single time.

So... who's already making Christmas cards and feeling wonderfully organised?

And who's quietly reading this while pretending there's still plenty of time?

No judgement here... we've been in both camps!

Hey Crafty Friends
Forget the gym membership... just spend an afternoon die-cutting intricate shapes and you'll soon discover muscles you didn't know you had.

Here's the real question...

Has anyone else ever been die-cutting so much that you've had to turn the machine around and crank with your other arm because the first one needed a rest?

Surely we can't be the only ones!

It's all worth it though. Every turn of the handle brings another beautiful die-cut, another card idea, and another excuse to keep creating "just one more project."

Tell us we're not alone... who's switched arms mid-crafting session?

Hey Crafty Friends,

We're back! Michelle and Robyn arrived home from the USA today, and let's just say... unpacking is taking a little longer than expected. Every time we open another suitcase, we'll find more crafty goodies, new products and project ideas. It's very hard to stay focused when there's so much inspiration staring back at us!

While we're busy unpacking (and trying not to stop and create something), we're also getting everything ready for our July/August classes, which kick off this week.

If you're a fan of Waffle Flower, PinkFresh Studio, Honey Bee Stamps or Spellbinders, you're going to LOVE what's waiting for you. We've packed this class with gorgeous products, beautiful techniques and plenty of creative inspiration.

We can't wait to catch up with everyone, share some of what we discovered on our travels, and get back around the craft table with you all.
