Water ups week 3 after planting billy buttons and straw flowers. Growth really starting to get going now!
Planted the final two pots with flannel flower seedlings courtesy of Stuart Pearson from australiannativeseedcollection

The flannel flowers were planted out on Friday 2nd October so we will follow their progress over the next few weeks.
I have selected species that I know grow well in this region for the best chance of success!
When we get these producing well we may try some other species!
Have a great long weekend!

How beautiful are clivias!
These ones were gifted by a friend for my home garden.
I look forward to them blooming every spring. A great choice if you need something for a shady spot in your garden!

Never have I asked so many questions to plant 6 seedlings in pots!

This week we assembled our wicking pots from WaterUps - Wicking our World and planted kangaroo paw straw flowers and billy buttons for the first trial. These species are also growing in conventional pots along side the wicking pots to measure the difference in growth etc.

A 50 cm x 50 cm x 50 cm square pot takes 50 L potting mix and 17 L water which only has to be topped up sporadically. What a game changer in out hot dry climate! Stay tuned for a progress update in a few weeks……
Thanks to my helpers who got this done! đź’—đź’—

Head down to Boggy Saturday week for some beautiful farm fresh spring flowers!

Our next market is just over a week away, and there are so many reasons to head along for a great day out in our fabulous little town!

We have a wonderful group of stallholders booked in, with new faces Dragonfly Opal, Yarrah Bakes, Searley’s bbq smoke house, Cod Country Lures n Fishing Manilla and Stash. Style & Carry joining our lineup of regular favourites in Middle Park.

One of our original (and highly popular) vendors - Narrabri Native Flowers - will also be back at the markets with some stunning locally-grown floral arrangements.

In some very exciting news, our visitors will also have a new option for coffee and treats on market day - with the much anticipated grand opening of Highway Joe’s Bakehouse happening this weekend.

We also have the very talented Sarah Leete playing live at the markets, followed by The Urban Chiefs at the The Commercial Hotel Boggabri from 7.00pm.

With so much happening in Boggabri on Saturday 12th September, why would you be anywhere else? đź’™
