I grew some persimmons! These were "ichikikei jiro" or just jiro πŸ˜…. They were deliciously sweet and can be eaten super ripe or just ripe! This a non astringent variety, giving that flexibility.

I definitely prefer my fruits crunchy πŸ˜‹

Looking forward to many years of plentiful fruits!

Though not finished, this pond is already bringing me so much joy! It was a dream of mine to have a pond in my garden... A simple structure that allows for the continuous sound of water falling calms my heart in a way nothing else can!

My latest addition of this waterlily Nymphaea Daubeniana does seem to complete the pond.

I do plan for more food production here too! Salads all yet round and a few aquatic edibles. I have yet to welcome a frog... But in due time, they will come!

I took a long walk today through one of my favorite gardens... The national rhododendron garden in Olinda, Victoria Australia.

The love and care of this place is only surpassed by the beautiful trees and careful design. So much inspiration!

Sometimes we just need to stop and appreciate the creation around us. To see there is nothing random in nature, but full of design.

Pumpkin harvest!!!!

I had 10 pumpkins this year... We ate and shared 3, one got rotten as it was on the wet ground and these are the last 6!

Let know me know if you like pumpkin!!!

These were store bought vines that were clearly mislabeled! The label described the variety producing "small sweet red pumpkins". They are red, not that sweet and definitely not small!!!

Please tell me what they may be, if you know!

How many pumpkins did you get this year?

Monstera deliciosa albo or borsigiana albo large for or... White variegated monstera.

Thank you for this beautiful plant. You've taken such good care in your delivery and obvious love of your plants. I am excited to nurture this beauty and see her grow!

Autumn is for foraging mushrooms! I honestly don't do this often enough.

It's the best!

Waking in fresh mountain air, climbing mounts of interesting moss and occasionally finding the most delicious mushrooms for free!

My favorites are slippery jacks, they taste nutty and surprisingly, not slimy once processed and cooked.

The saffron milk caps are easier to identify and handle but not as flavorsome - just my opinion though!

Have you foraged mushrooms before?

How I keep my seedlings from my miniature velociraptors. Hoping that they will be protected to grow and thrive!

After they have grown up a bit, I'll have to find another way to protect them so I can eat some of the leaves 😜.

Honestly not sure if all are showing but, pretty happy with the turn out!

Been a late every season year... These will continue to produce into April I think!

What are you harvesting?
