📢 Bridge update! Two-way single lane traffic returns to the Doonella Lake Bridge from 5am tomorrow, Saturday 11 July.

🚧 Two-way single lane traffic confirmed for Doonella Lake Bridge upgrade.

From 5am on Saturday, 11 July the Doonella Lake Bridge will reopen to two-way traffic through a single lane using traffic lights while essential upgrade works continue.

This means vehicles will once again be able to travel between Tewantin and Noosaville in both directions.

Following ongoing traffic monitoring and feedback from the community and local businesses, Council has approved the two-way arrangement for the foreseeable future.

Please note:
🚗 Significant traffic delays are still expected, particularly during peak periods.
🚌 Some Translink bus services may be affected. Please check the latest service updates before travelling.
⏱️ Please allow extra travel time, consider travelling outside peak periods where possible, and follow all traffic management directions.

🚧 The bridge will remain closed overnight tonight, 10 July as scheduled to allow construction works to be completed safely before reopening at 5am on Saturday, 11 July.

We'll continue to monitor traffic conditions and keep the community updated as works progress.

🛥️ Business as usual at Noosa Marina - here's what the bridge works mean for getting here.

The Doonella Lake Bridge upgrade is now underway, running through to December.

Here's the quick version:
➡️ Driving from Tewantin to Noosaville? You can still cross the bridge as normal.
⬅️ Coming from Noosaville to Tewantin? You'll need to detour via Eumundi-Noosa Road and Beckmans Road, so allow a little extra travel time.

🚶 Walking or cycling? The shared pathway is open the whole way through.

Or skip the roadworks altogether - the Noosa Ferry runs from Hastings Street right to our jetty. 🌊

Every restaurant, café and store at the Marina is open right through the works, and your visit means more than ever to our local businesses.
