100 years young | LSC at ACS26
Last week, LSC Managing Director David Weinel joined Lee Odess on stage for a 1:1 conversation at ACS26 in New Zealand, exploring one of the industry's most interesting topics: How capital shapes strategy.
The discussion focused on how strategic clarity, people capability and financial discipline shape the choices businesses make, particularly in industries navigating rapid change. Topics included transformation, consolidation, M&A, growth capital, and what separates organisations that adapt from those that are forced to react.
Lee drew out some of the beliefs that have shaped much of LSC's journey: “The objective is not growth at any cost. It is to build a stronger, more capable business, create great value for customers, and earn the right to grow. The future belongs to businesses that respect their heritage while knowing when and where to evolve.”
As LSC celebrates 100 years in business, our focus remains firmly on the future. We are committed to creating lasting customer value, developing our people, and building relationships that stand the test of time. While much has changed since 1926, the values that underpin LSC: service, integrity, trust and partnerships, continue to guide our story.
Thank you to Lee, Hilary and the ACS26 team for creating a forum that encourages open, honest conversations about the future of our industry.
