On 25 September 2026, the regional city of Maryborough is set to transform into a roaring slice of the wasteland as Mad Max fans, replica builders, movie enthusiasts, and Australian muscle car lovers gather for a celebration inspired by the legendary Mad Max universe.
The event will showcase a stunning lineup of tribute vehicles inspired by the iconic Pursuit Special, MFP cars, wasteland battle rigs, custom motorcycles, and post-apocalyptic creations built by passionate fans from across Australia. Visitors can expect blacked-out Ford Falcon XB replicas, supercharged V8 builds, weathered apocalypse machines, and detailed recreations paying tribute to the original trilogy and later films.
Set against the rugged country atmosphere of regional Victoria, the event aims to capture the raw spirit of the Mad Max universe, chrome, dust, horsepower, and survival. Enthusiasts will have opportunities to photograph vehicles, meet builders and collectors, exchange restoration stories, and immerse themselves in Australia’s most iconic cinematic car culture.
