Let’s be real, this has not been an easy election.

Every morning over this past few weeks/months I’ve woken up to someone tearing me down, false claims, defamatory comments. Comments that have crossed the line, deeply offensive and uncomfortably personal.

But I kept showing up.

I stayed grounded in my why, I held onto my integrity. I chose to be kind and not bite back, not justify, or defend.

And I’m proud of that.

Proud I tried.
Proud I didn’t shrink.
Proud I stayed true to me.

Whatever happens tomorrow, I gave Mandurah an option. I gave it everything I had. And I’m so grateful to those who walked beside me~ who reminded me that vulnerability is not weakness. As Brené Brown says, it’s our most accurate measure of courage.

It’s been a huge journey, and I’ve come to realise I’m far more resilient than I ever gave myself credit for. I’m a little wiser, a little stronger, and so much more aware of what it means to lead with heart.

Thank you to all those who have gone before me. To the shoulders I stand on~ the light carriers, wisdom holders, love ambassadors and brave heart leaders! So grateful to have learnt from some of the best🥰
