And these… well, these are WOW! ❤️

I honestly don’t even know where to begin with these beauties!

The rich colours, the touches of gold, the beautiful Byzantine imagery of our Panagia and the Nativity… every little detail is just stunning.

A little piece of Greece, our Orthodox faith and Christmas traditions all wrapped into something truly special. 🇬🇷❤️

These are not your ordinary pomegranates, and I think you can see why I’m a little obsessed!

Panagia Paramythia – Our Lady of Consolation

There is something so beautiful about the name Paramythia, meaning comfort and consolation.

Because sometimes in life, all we need is a little comfort, a little strength and the reassurance that Panagia is listening to our prayers.

This beautiful Paraklitikos Kanon (Prayer Book) is dedicated to Panagia Paramythia and comes from the Holy Monastery of Vatopedi on Mount Athos, Greece.

A collection of sacred prayers seeking the intercession of our Panagia during times of illness, sadness, worry and life’s most difficult moments.

For me, our faith is something we hold onto, especially when life becomes overwhelming. And knowing we can turn to our Panagia in prayer is such a blessing.

A beautiful little book to keep close, or to gift to someone who may need comfort and strength. ❤️

Our NEW Christmas arrivals are slowly making their way into the ERMOU Street online store… and when I say slowly 😂

Something I genuinely thought would take me a couple of days is taking me a little longer than expected. Clearly I forgot how many beautiful things I ordered. 😂🤦🏻‍♀️

Starting with these gorgeous Christmas tree candle holders - florals, pomegranates, the Nativity, beautiful Greek wishes and all those little details that make Christmas feel like home. ❤️🇬🇷

Mixed stock, pieces I forgot I had, discontinued items, samples, one-offs and honestly… God only knows what else is hiding in there.

There’s something about the olive branch that will always feel like Greece to me. 🫒🇬🇷

A symbol carried through generations of peace, hope, strength and abundance. The olive tree survives, grows and continues to give, which makes it even more meaningful as we leave one year behind and welcome another.

That’s why I love these olive tones for Christmas. Deep greens, touches of gold, Greek tradition and little reminders of faith and home.

Not your typical red-and-green Christmas… but perhaps that’s why I love it so much.

There’s something so special about a Greek door… ❤️

And this one is filled with the little details that mean so much.

The deep red door, the old-style ironwork, the gold accents, the tiny Panagia watching over the home, and the greenery and little red flowers surrounding it, but my favourite detail is right at the top…
Καλή Χρονιά ❤️

Two simple words we Greeks say with so much heart. Literally, “Good Year”, but to us it means so much more, may the year ahead be a good one. A year filled with health, happiness, love, faith, protection and blessings for the home and everyone who walks through its door.

A door is also a beautiful symbol in itself. It’s where we welcome family and friends, where we leave and return, where new chapters begin and where the people we love always know they can come home.

And with Panagia beside the entrance, it becomes even more meaningful, a little reminder of faith, protection and blessing over the home.

A beautiful piece of Greece, made for the home and carrying a wish we all hold close…

There is something so special about Saint Nektarios. A Saint whose life reminds us of patience, humility, forgiveness and an unwavering trust in God, even through suffering and injustice. Today, thousands travel to Aegina to pray and venerate his holy relics at the monastery he founded.

And these pieces… 🩷

The Doors of Saint Nektarios immediately captured my heart. Doors have such beautiful meaning in our faith - an entrance, a passage, an invitation to come closer to God. Behind these beautifully detailed doors sits the image of Saint Nektarios, almost as though he is welcoming us in.

Paired with our handcrafted piece inspired by the old Greek doors we all know and love - the weathered turquoise, the bougainvillea, the textures and little imperfections - together they tell a story of Greece, faith and home.

Perhaps that is why old doors mean so much to me. You never quite know what is behind them… a little chapel, a family home, a courtyard filled with bougainvillea, or somewhere you stop for a moment and say a quiet prayer.

October trading hours are up 💙

BUT… enjoy these hours while they last 😂

From 10th November I’ll be extending our trading hours as we head into the festive season 🎄

Which basically means… Christmas madness officially begins, the shop gets busier, the boxes keep arriving and I start questioning why I ordered so much stock 😂🤦🏻‍♀️

But we LOVE it!

For now, these are our October hours… and of course online is always open 24/7 because apparently ERMOU never sleeps 😂💙

ONE-OF-A-KIND ICONS JOINING THE VAULT

Something a little different and very special.

These beautiful Orthodox icons have been created on traditional Greek keramidia (κεραμίδια) - the curved terracotta roof tiles so characteristic of Greece and finished with beautiful gold detailing.

Each one has its own shape, texture and imperfections, making every piece completely unique.

They’ll be joining our VAULT SALE, along with many more pieces being added over the next few weeks.

And with Christmas creeping up on us, now is the perfect time to start putting those meaningful gifts away.

Once these one-of-a-kind pieces leave the Vault, they’re gone.
