A Paper Paradise, formerly Starfish Lane, has been in business since 2001 in Moonee Ponds, Melbourne. Since 2004 we have provided a complete design and printing service for individualised invitations for all occasions. This can include printing and addressing of invitations, envelopes and place cards. We run classes in store for people interested in making cards and there is a class specially designed for invitations where we demonstrate how to use all the different accessories that we have in store, the right pens and inks to use and discuss some designs which you also create in class. We have a strong knowledge. A great way to save money! At A Paper Paradise we enjoy helping and showing you how to make your own invitations. There are plenty of samples in store to help you with your design. We can make up a blank sample for you to follow or we can write down the specific instructions needed for your design. In store there is a wide range of designer, metallic, textured and Japanese papers to choose from. We carry a full range of paper colours. Advice can be specified on the type of materials you will need to be able to attach your papers together and show you how to do this. Demonstrations can be given on different techniques specific to your invite. We hire out guillotines and heat tools (used for embossing) per 24 hour period.

You can choose a design in store or we can help you with your own design. Our in store range of designs and colours is vast making endless combinations. In store we offer a free quoting service which provides you with a specific break down of the costs. We offer the total package consisting of set-up & printing of Invitations (including guest names & addressing envelopes) & any additions including:

Products In Store:

• A wide range of designer, metallic, textured and Japanese papers to choose from.
• We carry a selection of glues and tapes to attach your papers, ribbons and decorative pieces. We can advise you what would be best for the materials you are using.
• We have selection of ribbons in different sizes. Felt trimmings that can be used to decorate your invitation.
• In store there is a wide range of stamps and ink pads for either stamping or embossing. We can custom make stamps for you.
• Magnets can be used on the back of your invite. A packet has two sheets and self adhesive backing.
• Paper fasteners can be used as a decorative piece and/or attaching your papers.
• Buckles are available in different shapes and come in plain, pearls and diamantes.
• Jewels in different colours that can add that sparkle and pearls can add elegance to your invitation.
• Gorgeous swarvoski crystals & embellishments which will add elegance to your invitation.
• Paper flowers come in three different sizes and many colours. Can be used singly or in a combination of 2 or 3. They also look great with jewels or pearls placed in the centre.
• Stickers can be used to close your envelope, as an enhancement or sticking down invitation layers.
• Craft punches are a brilliant way to add decorative features to your invite or use as scatters for your table. Available in two sizes.
• Guillotines can either be hired or purchased.
• The tool of the trade, a scoring board with pen tool ideal for all card/scrapbooking & invitation making for that perfect fold..perfect scores every time!
• Craft scissors give the invitation a decorative edge.

💛 Daffodil Delight Week — Art With Heart Colour Hop

A group of the Art With Heart Team is hopping through the Stampin’ Up! colours in alphabetical order, and Week 20 is all about Daffodil Delight.

Here are my projects for the week: my weekly journal page and a birthday card for my husband, created in the Accordion Fan Box Card design.

I used the Balloon Festoon bundle and the Words & Wishes bundle across both projects. All the sentiments stamped in Daffodil Delight are from Words & Wishes, with extra detail added using a die from Words of Beauty and the circle die from Stylish Shapes.

The SDSP featured on both the journal and the card is Bloom Boutique — I love how Hydrangea Hue and Daffodil Delight work together, such a bright and joyful pairing.

On the journalling card fronts, I stamped two different designs in Daffodil Delight, adding that extra pop of sunshine on the front of the balloon‑shaped pages. The journalling pages themselves are cut into balloon cards — I scored the card before placing the balloon die on top and didn’t cut the top edge, so they open like little balloon flaps. Such a fun detail!

For my husband’s birthday card, the bike image is from the June Paper Pumpkin kit. He loves riding and is often out with friends, so it felt perfect to include. Card colours: Silver Foil Sheets, Basic White, Hydrangea Hue, Crumb Cake, and Daffodil Delight. On the journal page, I added a couple of balloons in Petal Pink for softness.

❤️ A group of creative friends from the Art with Heart team are back with our Annual Heart of Christmas blog hop. Follow through the blogs each Monday night until the end of November for Christmas card inspiration.

This week I’m sharing my Shallowed Box card, created using the beautiful Pretty Poinsettia Bundle. I didn’t think I’d be able to join in as I’ve been busy in the craft room with thank you cards and birthday cards, but thankfully I already had the idea in mind and many of the pieces cut. I put the card together — and I’m so glad I did.

A piece of Bloom Boutique SDSP was sitting on my desk, and its neutral tones worked perfectly as a backdrop for the rich Cherry Cobbler poinsettias. The card design is a Shallow Box Card, something I’ve always wanted to make. I love the depth it creates, yet it still folds flat.

The arch on the front is cut using the Everyday Arches Dies and I used the front cut out arch and placed it at the back and placed the poinsettias in front, this gave them room to shine.

Cardstock: Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla, Golden Glow, Pool Party and Basic White

A group of the Art With Heart Team is hopping through the Stampin’ Up! colours, and week 19 is Crushed Curry. My projects this week are a journal page and a fur Father’s Day card for my husband.

I reached straight for the Scenic Coast SDSP — the Crushed Curry tones are gorgeous, so I let the paper be the focal point. Both designs share a similar layout: the card opens, the journal doesn’t (the front panel hides a gap in the SDSP). On the journal, I created a flap on the left side and popped it up on double dimensionals so I can tuck my journalling pages underneath.

Waves are cut with Rolling Waves dies from Sunset Shimmer Vellum. Sentiments and layers are Very Vanilla. The journal sentiments are from Rolling Waves and cut with Stylish Shapes; the card sentiment is stamped in Crushed Curry on Very Vanilla and punched with the Three Banner Punch, with Baker’s Twine tucked behind for texture.

The shells (also Rolling Waves) are cut from Very Vanilla and blended with Fresh Freesia and Crushed Curry to give them a soft, warm, beachy glow.

The dog and cat from Cutest Crew are coloured to look like Ollie (our Labradoodle) and Mozz (our tortoiseshell cat) using Blends and Watercolour Pencils.

A group of the Art With Heart Team is hopping through the Stampin’ Up! colours in alphabetical order and week 18 is all about Crumb Cake.

Here are my projects this week: my Dad’s Father’s Day card and my weekly journal page — both created with the beautiful Delicate Dreams SDSP.

I’ve fussy cut some of the flowers from the SDSP to add soft detail to both the card and the journal. The stamp and die sets I used are Boutique Blossoms, Capturing Smiles, Spotlight on Nature and the Dad stamp is from Relaxing Waterside.

I wanted my weekly journal page to match the card I sent to my Dad. I have such fond memories of him taking photos when I was young and developing them… yes, I’m that old… back in the days of film 🤣. Maybe that’s where my love of photography comes from — my phone is always full because I’m forever taking photos 📸.

I’ve included recent photos of Dad on both the card and the journal. My journalling pages are tucked behind the larger circle, attached to the Delicate Dreams SDSP with a little linen thread for a soft, natural finish.

🌴 Coastal Cabana Weeknstagram Caption — Coastal Cabana Week

A group of the Art With Heart Team is hopping through the Stampin’ Up! colours in alphabetical order, and week 17 is all about Coastal Cabana — that perfect happy‑holiday hue 🌴✨

Here is my project: my weekly journal page.

I actually made this a few weeks ago while recovering from my virus, and I think I needed a little sunshine to brighten up those resting days. Honestly… who doesn’t need a little “Sunshine” when you’re not feeling 100%, right? ☀️💛

I combined two gorgeous sets — Capturing Smiles and Splash & Relax — and went for a fun summer‑holiday vibe. Most of the die cuts were already in my little box of goodies; I love sitting down and die‑cutting a bunch of pieces in different colours so I’ve got them ready for upcoming projects.

Colours I used: Coastal Cabana, Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Basic White, Basic Black, and Lost Lagoon. On the beach photos, I coloured with Pool Party, Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo, and Crumb Cake Blends.

The DSP (a bit hidden under all the die cuts!) is from Waterside Retreat, and I used the wave die from the Rolling Waves dies for the top edge. The leaves are also from the same die set.

The journalling pages are tucked behind the three DSP strips:

Bottom strip — two layers of dimensionals

Middle strip — one layer of dimensionals

Top strip — glued on the sides and bottom

The sentiments are from Capturing Smiles, cut out using the Scalloped Blooms dies — truly a must‑have set!

A group of the Art With Heart Team is hopping through the Stampin’ Up! colours in alphabetical order, and Week 16 is all about Cloud Cover ☁️

This week I created both a journal page and a card, and they came together so naturally. Last Friday, while I was recovering from a virus, my Paper Pumpkin kit arrived — perfect timing! As I followed the instructions, one of the designs instantly inspired me, and the colours were spot on for this week’s Cloud Cover theme.

For the card, I adapted the original Paper Pumpkin layout and added dies from Gears & Textures (leftovers from previous projects always come in handy!) using Cloud Cover card. The white card with the rectangle cut‑outs is actually the leftover piece from the kit. I stamped over the dies and the white panel using Gray Granite and the Paper Pumpkin Kit stamp. The leaf is also from the kit. The background SDSP is the gorgeous Velvet Meadow — I just love the flocked feel of this paper.

For the journal page, I added a little card that holds all my daily journaling. I fussy‑cut flowers and leaves from Velvet Meadow SDSP, and used the same SDSP for the front of the card and the journal background. I folded the right-hand side of the SDSP to create a flap so the card tucks in neatly. The leaves are from Boutique Blossoms, using Lost Lagoon two‑tone card, and the Cloud Cover scallop and sentiments are from Scalloped Blooms, stamped in Cloud Cover on Basic White. I finished with the adorable 2026–2028 In Color Butterflies and cut the sentiments using the Three Banner Punch. The journal page is backed with Cloud Cover cardstock.

A group of the Art With Heart Team is hopping through the Stampin’ Up! colours in alphabetical order, and Week 15 is all about Cherry Cobbler.

Here is my project: my weekly journal page — and I’m so glad I was able to join in this week. I’ve been feeling unwell, and honestly didn’t think I’d manage it… but thankfully I already had an idea in mind and most of the pieces cut out. Feeling a little better on Monday, I put it all together.

I used the Pretty Poinsettia Bundle — because Cherry Cobbler Poinsettias were simply meant to be. I adore Poinsettias, so this felt perfect.

I didn’t have any current Christmas DSP on hand, so I was trying to think what might work… and a piece of Waterside Retreat DSP was sitting on my desk. Perfect! It gave the whole page such a neutral, elegant backdrop.

The design of the journal page is a Shallow Box Card — something I’ve always wanted to make. I love the depth it creates, yet it still folds flat. My journalling pages are tucked behind the arch of the Waterside Retreat DSP.

The arch is cut using the Everyday Arches Dies, popped up on Dimensionals so the journalling cards can slide in and out easily.

Colours: Cherry Cobbler, Garden Green (two tone), Very Vanilla, Golden Glow, Pool Party (two tone). Inks: Cherry Cobbler, Garden Green, Golden Glow. Sentiments are stamped in Cherry Cobbler and fussy cut.

A group of the Art With Heart Team is hopping through the Stampin’ Up! colours in alphabetical order, and week 14 is all about Calypso Coral 🌺✨

Here is my project: my weekly journal, created as a little Folding Album. I made two cards, scored them in half, and glued them together — giving me four sweet little pages to decorate. Each page has its own personality, inspired by the gorgeous scenes in the Waterside Retreat DSP 💙

The oars, life jackets, and the bicycle on the front are all fussy cut from the DSP. For the bike, I pencilled in the spokes using a tracing‑paper technique — such a fun detail! I also added a sheet from Bloom Boutique on one of the pages for a different look and texture.

Colours I used:
Calypso Coral (the base + some die‑cuts), Old Olive, Very Vanilla, and Crisp Cantaloupe.
The backs of each Waterside Retreat picture are layered with Perennial Postage, and the sentiments + die cuts are from Relaxing Waterside, stamped in Calypso Coral ink.

My inspiration came from our recent trip to Noosa — watching the boats head out. While making this last night, I honestly felt like I was still there… coastal magic at its best 🌊💕

The journaling pages are tucked behind each picture — ready for memories, thoughts, and little stories.

A group of the Art With Heart Team is hopping through the Stampin’ Up! colours in alphabetical order, and Week 13 is all about Cajun Craze.

Here is my project: my weekly journal page — and I’m so happy with how it turned out this week.

I combined two bundles, Fern & Flora and Help Me Grow. I love mixing sets to create something new, and again this week I used a few leftover stamped and die‑cut elements from previous projects. I added extra details here and there, die‑cut the pots in Cajun Craze, and used my Cajun Craze Blends to add shadowing around the pots, the stand, and under the leaves — it really brought everything to life.

The design was inspired by a beautiful card Sara Douglas shared a few weeks ago. As you open the layers, I’ve created little pockets to slide my journalling pages in, with a strip of Cajun Craze acting as both decoration and a pull‑tab. On the back, I added another pocket with a decorative pull‑out that hides my 7th journalling page for the week.

The SDSP is Scenic Coast — the Highland Heather background looked so good and gave the whole page a soft, dreamy feel. Card colours: Cajun Craze, Highland Heather, Golden Glow, Old Olive, Old Olive two‑tone, Mossy Meadow, and Basic Beige. Blends: Cajun Craze, Old Olive, Peaceful Pie, Golden Glow.

I didn’t think I’d finish this in time, but seeing all the elements come together has me absolutely over the moon. I hope it inspires you too 🧡 Happy Stamping Hx
