🌸 A little September hours update from the Florist 🌸

We have a few changes to our usual trading hours this month, so if you’re planning to pop in for flowers, collect an order or build your own bouquet, please keep these dates in mind:

💐 Saturday 5th September — Closing early at 11:30am

🌷 Thursday 17th September — Closing at 3pm as we’re heading off for a very special afternoon — to see our beautiful EmJ arrive at her school formal. 🥹💕 Flowers are important… but some moments are simply too special to miss!

🌾 Saturday 19th September — CLOSED ALL DAY for the Brigalow Bush Carnival.

If you need flowers around any of these dates, we recommend ordering ahead so we can have everything ready for you. 💐

Thank you for continuing to support our little country florist and for understanding when family and community call us away from the shop. 🤍

The idea is simple — you choose the flowers, we create the bouquet.

💰 Each flower stem is individually priced, so you can choose what goes into your bouquet and build it to suit your budget

🌿 Standard greenery is included and selected by us to complement your flowers

Today marks the 40th anniversary of Cancer Council’s Daffodil Day.

Today we honour & remember the cancer journeys of our loved ones, and ourselves.
These journeys are filled with strength, resilience, courage, compassion, tears and laughter.

Cancer touches all of us, in one way or another, and brings us together- but also the hope of new treatments, research and more positive outcomes.

Help us support the cancer council, and those affected by cancer buy purchasing fresh daffodils today. All proceeds will be donated to help some small way the amazing work that researchers do.

🌼 DAFFODIL DAY IS THIS THURSDAY! 🌼

This Thursday, 20 August, we’ll have beautiful bunches of fresh daffodils available in the florist for Daffodil Day. 💛

🌼 5 daffodils — $15
🌼 10 daffodils — $25

Daffodils are a beautiful symbol of hope, and Daffodil Day helps raise awareness and vital funds for cancer research and support for Queenslanders impacted by cancer.

We only have limited numbers available, so if you’d like a bunch, we recommend getting in early!

Brighten your home, surprise someone with a little bunch of sunshine, and help us mark a day that means so much to so many. 🌼💛

💧 A little water goes a long way.

Did you know that even flower arrangements made in floral foam still need fresh water?

The foam acts like a sponge, holding water for the flowers to drink. As the flowers naturally use that water, the foam slowly dries out. If it becomes too dry, it can be difficult to rehydrate properly, which means your flowers won't last as long.

🌸 How to care for your arrangement:
• Check the water level every day.
• Slowly pour fresh water directly onto the floral foam until it's nice and moist.
• Add a little at a time so the foam has a chance to absorb it without overflowing.
• Keep your arrangement out of direct sunlight, heaters and draughts.

Just a minute each day can add several extra days of enjoyment to your beautiful blooms.

💧 Keep the water shallow and fresh.
