Turns out hide & seek with Griffin is less “hide & seek” and more two idiots running backwards and forwards behind a fern. 😂🌿

I’d run one way, he’d run the other.
I’d change direction, so would he.

For a brief moment we actually looked like we knew what we were doing.

Then I accidentally activated 76kg of Newfoundland zoomies. 🐻💨😂

Absolute chaos. Fluff flying. Griffin having the time of his life…

…for approximately 30 seconds.

Then the battery went flat. 😂🔋

Apparently 76kg zoomies have a VERY limited range.

Printed in vibrant colour on clear acrylic, these little Spidey details are ready to swing straight onto her cake, with the clear stems disappearing once they’re popped in.

Now Lily… we need to see the finished cake! 👀🎂

Apparently this is what retirement looks like when you’re 4 years old. 😂

I’m heading out and Griffin is stretched out on the lounge, without a single responsibility in the world.

No bills.
No work.
Meals delivered.
Walks provided.
Treats on demand.
Premium lounge privileges. 😂

Then I ask him for a kiss goodbye… and instead of kissing me, he leans straight in and kisses the phone screen. 😂❤️

I’ll take it, Griff.

Pretty sure he’s absolutely nailed this whole “new home” thing. 🐻❤️

We created this hot pink cake topper to celebrate one pretty incredible milestone, officially becoming a nurse!

Complete with a little nurse’s cap, stethoscope and plenty of personality, because after all those years of studying, placements, early mornings and late nights… the cake deserves to make a statement too. 💗

Here’s to Sydney and every new nurse stepping into their next chapter. What an achievement! 🥰

We had a very exciting delivery today… although apparently it wasn’t actually for me.

Griffin’s first little treat haul from Natural Dog Treats Australia and I swear he knew there was something good in that box before I’d even opened it. That nose was straight in there doing a full inspection. 😂

We got a selection of goodies for him to try and, judging by the level of concentration during the unboxing, I think we can safely say he approves.

Apparently opening dog treats is now a two-person job… one to open the box and one 76kg supervisor to make sure it’s done properly.

And yes, the bib is on and ready because apparently even treat tasting requires appropriate attire when you’re Griffin. 😂❤️

I have a feeling he’s going to enjoy taste testing his way through these!

Sally Wheeler sent us an image of the basketball cake topper she had in mind and asked if we could bring it to life.

Of course we said YES! 😍

A little designing, laser cutting, printing and layering later… and here it is!

We absolutely love bringing your ideas to life, especially when it means creating something completely unique for your celebration.

Now it’s over to Sally and we can’t wait to see what she creates with it! 🎂🏀

Apparently Griffin and I needed to have a fairly serious discussion about dinner tonight. 😂

And by “discussion” I mean I asked the questions and Griffin had A LOT to say about them.

Uber Eats?
Or perhaps we should go out to a fancy restaurant?

I mean… look at him. The doggo is wearing a tuxedo. 🤵‍♂️

Clearly I’m underdressed, he’s overdressed, and neither of us has actually made a reservation.

Although judging by the amount of talking back, I’m fairly certain Griffin thinks the decision should be entirely his. 😂

The problem is… where exactly do you take a 76kg Newfoundland in formal attire for dinner? 🤔

I’m thinking this might be the best home security system we’ve ever had. 😂🦴

At the moment, Griffin’s still learning that being left alone is actually okay. If we leave him outside while we’re home, he’ll eventually fret, bark and howl because apparently being separated from us by a wall is completely unacceptable.

But leave him inside while we go out? Quite happy to guard the house… which mostly seems to involve sleeping. 🤷🏻‍♀️😂

I’ve been wanting to get him comfortable spending a little longer outside on his own, without feeling like he needs to come looking for us.

So I figured this absolute dinosaur bone might be a good test… and a pretty decent distraction. 🦖🦴

IT WORKED!!

He happily stayed out on the verandah for over TWO HOURS, munching away on his bone while I worked in the studio.

No barking.
No howling.
No fretting.
Just one very content 76kg Newfoundland and his ridiculously oversized snack.

Win for Griffin’s confidence. Win for me actually getting some work done.

And as an added bonus…

Burglars beware. 😳
Perhaps you don’t need to know he’s actually a giant teddy bear.

spent YEARS telling the kids…

“NO RUNNING IN THE HOUSE!”

Apparently those rules went out the window when we adopted a 76kg Newfoundland. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Because not only am I letting Griffin run through the house… I’m actually standing at the other end of the hallway encouraging it. 😂

It’s amazing how quickly your parenting standards disappear when the child is 76kg, covered in fur and has absolutely no concept of personal space.

Don’t tell the kids. 🤫🤣
