A little while ago Hardie Grant Publishing offered me the manuscript for ‘Freckles’ written by Catherine Jinks and I couldn’t say yes fast enough! It’s a sweet story that left me thinking about Summers spent piled in the back of the car with my brothers, eating straight from my dad’s vege garden, walking down the hill to the local swimming pool and days spent outdoors. I hope you fall in love with Catherine’s story as much as I did. I’ll pop a link below to pre order a copy. It should be on shelves in early March 😊

Over the past few months I’ve had the opportunity to be a part of the making of a children’s picture book called, ‘Little Treasure’. If you’ve been here for a little while you know I love a gentle story (my toys became thread and fluff stories!) and this one, written by Chanelle Gosper and published by Hachette Australia is just that.

Moments from an ordinary day reminding us of how so many ‘ordinary days’ are sprinkled with memories to keep for a lifetime.

It’s due for release in March 2023

S P R I N G We’ve felt it on the wind every now and then over the past week. Now we’re starting to see it and hear it. Pink and white blossoms are waking up the trees and the blackbirds still have enough light to rustle up a quick dinner on the wing at 6 in the evening 💕

Everybody must be super organised for Easter this year because my ‘Easter-y’ PDF sewing patterns are the biggest sellers in my Etsy store right now (there’s a link in my bio 😉). Anyhoo…some people have asked what’s wrong with little Tuppence’s tail…because it’s long and not rabbit-y at all 🤔 That’s because she’s an Australian 😊 She’s my felty tip of the fedora to one of our amazing, quiet and quirky marsupials. She’s a dolly playing, frock wearing, long eared girl with her dolly baby bilby Tilly tucked up tight in her sling…because she’s a bit young to use her pouch just yet. Hope that helps!
