We called it the Temptation for a reason.

There's a certain kind of Sunday afternoon where you plan to get things done and end up lying down instead. The Temptation was made for those.

It's an oversized chaise in soft corduroy with deep, padded cushions and plenty of room to stretch out properly. Settle in with a book or put a movie on. It's also very good for the nap you'll swear you didn't have.

In stock now in light grey, cream or black from $1499.

30 years ago today, our Osborne Park store was added to our network 🎉

It was 1 October 1996. For a bit of perspective:

The Macarena was at every wedding
North Melbourne had won the AFL flag three days earlier
The Dockers were only in their second season
Savage Garden's I Want You was on high rotation
The Hockeyroos had just brought home gold from Atlanta
Kieren Perkins won the 1500m from lane eight
The plastic $100 note was brand new
Hey Hey It's Saturday was still on every Saturday night
Independence Day was the movie everyone went to see
Dolly the sheep was about three months old
Hotmail had just launched, though most of us didn't have email yet
Getting online meant tying up the phone line and listening to the dial-up screech
If you had a mobile, it had an aerial you pulled out to make a call

Plenty has changed since then but we're still making sofas and dining tables for WA homes, and we're glad you've kept coming back.

Thanks for 30 years, Perth.

10 school holiday ideas for WA kids. Picked purely for them. Nothing to do with how tired this will make them.

1. Kings Park Naturescape. Creeks, rope climbs, mud. They come home filthy and flat.

2. Rottnest by bike. The island loop is about 22km. Their legs are shorter than yours. That's the point.

3. Perth Zoo. It's basically a very long walk with giraffes.

4. Yanchep National Park. Koalas, caves and a very quiet drive home.

5. Scarborough Beach. Skate park, playground, ice cream repeat steps 1 and 2.

6. Whiteman Park. It's massive. You'll find that out, and so will they. You could lose them if needed.

7. A trampoline park. Best opt for the 2 hour slot.

8. The library. Plenty of local libraries run free holiday programs. Silence is enforced. Drop and collect?

9. Mandurah foreshore. Playgrounds, a long walk and dolphins if you're lucky. Fish and chips if you're not.

10. Your nearest Dankz. They test every recliner in the store. You find the one you're taking home.

The comfort of home. You've earned it.

We were 28 when Freo joined the AFL in 1995. At the time we thought, give them a few years.

Well, its taken a couple more years than expected, but some things are worth the wait. And we do understand the value of sticking around for the long game.

Go Dockers. Bring it home to WA!

Spring living rooms are getting comfier.

On the showroom floors, people are heading straight for chaises and deep modulars like the Destiny and Barrelton. Tan leather's having a moment again (hello, Riley), and olive is creeping in next to the usual oats and sands. It our tip for popularity in 2027.

One tip before you commit to a modular: tape its footprint on the floor and live with it for a day. You'll know pretty quickly if its a right size.

Come for a sit in any of our six WA stores, or shop online with $59 delivery.
