Creating texture that is formed by heat, guided by a more direct flame. There’s control, yes, but silver always has a mind of its own. I love this process🔥-

Breathe brooch and companion chain-
-Part of my final collection and will join gallery brooch club exhibition for Syney Craft week 10th- 19th Oct

I focus on my breath as I ocean swim.
Everything falls away and the balance between the elements and inner calm exists. I draw on this visceral experience in my work; repetitive movements, shards of light, the cascade of sea grass, swell and immersion. My exterior life can wait. Life in this space is about the equilibrium of mind and environment.

Drawn to the unrefined and fragile nature of the quartz slice, I wanted to create a brooch that both frames and stabilises this organic material. The addition of a companion chain allows the piece to transform into a pendant, extending its function and inviting the conversation to move beyond the brooch itself. -
