Crafted entirely from our Pemberton estate vineyard, the 2023 release is a true reflection of place and terroir. W**emaker Ben Rector puts it best:

We’re thrilled to announce the release of our 2021 Single Vineyard Merlot – a w**e that’s spent careful time maturing in both barrel and bottle.

The 2022 Yilgarn Blanc de Blancs is here!

Crisp, dry, and complex—this vintage brings bright acidity, fine mousse, and notes of white peach, brioche, and oyster shell. Crafted from 100% handpicked Chardonnay and aged 30 months on lees, it’s the ultimate aperitif.

W**emaker Ben Rector says it best: "There’s so much to enjoy in a bottle of Yilgarn—it exudes freshness, crisp acid, bright fruit, complex yeast characters, and pure drinkability. The perfect accompaniment for any occasion."

We are very excited to announce that our 2020 Yilgarn Blanc de Blancs has been awarded a gold medal at the Southern Forests & Valleys W**e Show for the second year in a row!

Chardonnay was sourced from our estate vineyard in Pembertion and this sparkling w**e was produced using the traditional method, spending 36 months on lees. This is a richly layered and complex w**e delivering far beyond its price point.

Our Single Vineyard Pinot Noir is a favourite among many, and Chief Viticulturist John Fogarty is one of them. John says, "Smithbrook Pinot Noir is always a favourite of mine, it expresses the terroir of the site best. More so at this time of the year, a nice fire, a glass of Pinot and some Smithbrook truffles watching the rain fall across the valley here."

Have you ever tried a Nebbiolo w**e?

A finicky grape to grow, we are lucky to have this ancient grape varietal as part of our Single Vineyard range. Nebbiolo grapes are VERY fussy in regards to soil, climate and harvest conditions and are most famously grown in the Piedmont region in north-west Italy. The grapes require a lot of sunshine to reach maximum ripeness and dislikes extreme heat meaning careful vineyard management is needed throughout the growing season. Fortunately, Pemberton is one of Australia’s cooler-climate w**e regions where Nebbiolo has thrived.

So, what does a Nebbiolo w**e taste like? Nebbiolo is a high tannin, high acid w**e, with plenty of complexity and structure on the palate. The Smithbrook 2018 Single Vineyard has a juicy and vibrant palate, with generous fruit and a long silky texture. Firm tannins, characteristic of this variety, are balanced against the fruit weight.

With just 466 hectares of vines in total, Pemberton is a relatively small w**e region in Western Australia. Situated at a higher altitude than other nearby w**e regions meaning a lower annual temperature and longer ripening period before harvest. Chardonnay is a firm favourite in Western Australia, and here in Pemberton we know how to make an excellent cool-climate iteration. We’re excited to release the 2020 Single Vineyard Chardonnay described by .suckling as, “Sliced green apples and white peaches with some honeysuckle and peach stone character.
