Since taking over the Penola Post Office on January 12th, 2024, it has been exactly 866 days—and we are absolutely overwhelmed by the warmth and support this community has shown us.

Whether we are processing your passport applications, handling the daily mail, offering wine pick-ups to our local wineries, or taking care of packages for our beloved customers, it has been an absolute joy.

Have you seen our new Community Pantry?

Gaynor has set up this wonderful space and it works on the basis of "take what you need, give what you can".

The initiative is aimed at encouraging sharing, sustainability, and a deeper understanding of where food comes from.

Gaynor welcomes all members of our community to access the community pantry and it is available on our front decking area Mon-Fri from 7.30am till 5.30pm.

We’ve had the best time exploring more of what makes Penola and Coonawarra so special this weekend.

🎨 Natural Beauty at Rymill: It was a privilege to attend the launch of Cat Kite Creations ’Natural Beauty’ exhibition at Rymill Coonawarra. Seeing her artwork in person was incredible. The detail in every piece is just stunning—highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area!

🍷 Sips at Raidis: We also fit in a fantastic wine tasting at Raidis Estate. Even though we forgot to snap a photo, the hospitality and the wine made for a perfect Saturday afternoon.

🪴Market Mornings: Started Sunday at the Coonawarra Market. It was great to connect with so many local makers — Occasional Loaf, Confido Coonawarra, redfingers Dukkah, Rymill Coonawarra and so many other vendors that make this region so spectacular!
