One Piece. One Chance.

Supporting the SAS Historical Collection

This year marks 60 years since Australia’s involvement in the Vietnam War.

A defining moment in our military history, and one that helped shape the legacy of the SASR.

To honour that legacy, something special has been made possible.
A one-of-a-kind resin display by Al Magarry has been generously donated for silent auction in support of the Special Air Service Historical Foundation.

This isn’t just a collector’s piece.
It directly supports the preservation of the CH47D Chinook “Silky Smooth” A15-152 at Campbell Barracks. This very aircraft supported Australian forces, including the SASR, in modern operations. It represents decades of service, sacrifice, and support. Right now, it sits in storage at Campbell Barracks.
The goal is to change that.

Your bid will directly help fund the construction of a dedicated extension of the Historical Collection Hangar at Campbell Barracks to preserve its operational history and accommodate a full display of the Chinook.

Auction Details
12 April to 19 April.

This is a rare chance to own a piece of history.
More importantly, it is a chance to help preserve it.

So that escalated quickly.. 📈

We took a chance this year and ordered 1000 Units of the Covert Hoodies for the 2026 Winter.

We asked the volunteers at the HF to give us feedback on last years design and combined with customer feedback we created our best version yet of the Covert Hoodie:
• Upsized larger fit
• Heavier overall Fleece
• A velcro patch on the sleeve so the hoodie can be personalised with customer patches
• New colourway: Tan on Tan

We got it right. 95% sold out in 24 days 🤯

We have ordered another run which is now in production and you can secure yours by preorder online now. Be quick - this momentum is unlikely to decrease..

The SASHF and the team at NINE SIX FOUR want to thank everyone who has purchased a hoodie so far… it looks like the hangar extension for the Chinook is getting closer to being paid for!! 🎉🔥

Every now and then, a classic is dropped into the SAS Historical Foundation..

This week it was an original SAS Skydiver t-shirt worn by Anne McCormack (Mini Mac) on the Drop Zone at Rockingham way back in the 1970’s when the boys used to jump there.
Anne also participated many times as “The Medic” for the boys on various DZs throughout the country.
Anne was married to MAC, a fairly avid freefaller and stalwart member of Freefall Troops.

He went in at number 5 in the first Australian Military 10 man at Williamtown way back in the 70s.

I can feel a retro shirt rerun coming.. should we? 🪂
