Hey guys, there’s been a massive spike in scam profiles and hackers on Instagram and Facebook lately, so please be careful online. Never give out your personal information, passwords, banking details, or send money to random GCash wallets you don’t know — a lot of them are using fake names and stolen identities.
Always verify who you’re talking to before sending help or money. If someone claims to be family or a friend, call them directly to confirm it’s really them. If you do interact with strangers online, make sure they are who they say they are before trusting them.
Scammers may also try to blackmail or threaten people. Don’t panic, don’t send money, and don’t give in to demands. Report the account immediately and submit a case through Facebook or Instagram support.
