How do you spend $20k on LEGO inventory and make sure you’re buying the RIGHT parts?

This week the strategic shift in the Bricklink store continues, with a big focus on making the buying process smarter, more productive and more data-driven.

Rather than simply buying parts to fill gaps or restock what’s running low, I’m working towards a much more strategic approach to inventory — using AI, data and smarter buying processes to help identify the opportunities that are actually worth pursuing.

And when you’re potentially putting $20,000 of LEGO inventory into a store, getting those decisions right matters!

August is also shaping up nicely, with a steady week of sales putting the month on course to outperform July. There are a couple of sizeable Bricklink orders arriving too, giving us plenty more inventory to process and add to the store.

Plus, the usual features are back:

📊 Parts Report — looking at what’s actually selling
💬 Chit Chat — viewer comments, questions and discussion
📦 A couple of BIG Bricklink inventory orders
🧱 More parts being added to the store
🤖 AI and data-driven buying decisions

💡 Behind-the-scenes insights into running an almost full-time Bricklink & Brick Owl business

The big question this week is simple:

If you have $20k to invest in LEGO inventory, how do you make sure you’re buying the right stuff?

That’s the challenge I’m trying to solve — and AI is starting to play a much bigger role in the answer.
