We were camped up at Yannarie, which is the old Barradale roadhouse on the Northwest Coastal Highway. We managed to get a great spot amongst the rivergums near the river. Saw a cocky doing this to the trunk, never come across this type of scarring on a gum before from a pink & grey, they usually make a mess of the Eucalypt branches. He obviously has been pecking at the trunk for a while! Western Australia Australia's North West

Here’s a tour of Wooramel Riverside Retreat. We’ve been coming to this ripper campground almost since it opened to the public well over a decade ago and wow has it changed. To think the riverside camps are often fully booked is amazing. This once thriving cattle station has now destocked and is solely catering for tourism at the moment. There are now 4 artesian pools, a restaurant, bar and plenty of alternative accommodation options. Love it here. Wooramel River Retreat
