Fuel prices may rise and fall, though the value of connection remains priceless.

Join Our Sewing Classes in Balcatta, Perth!

Sessions run Monday to Saturday from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm, and each class is $35 per session. Bring a machine, bring the materials and settle in for a relaxed morning of sewing at your own pace. Guidance is available from the team whenever support is needed.

Tea, coffee and water are always on hand to keep the creativity flowing. A welcoming space, friendly faces and plenty of inspiration are ready for anyone looking to learn, practise or simply enjoy time behind the machine.

A gentle warning, though… once the creativity starts rolling, the only thing harder than threading a needle is trying to leave on time.

Mums have a special way of stitching life together.

They mend the little things no one else notices, patch up tough days with kindness, add warmth when life feels cold, and somehow make everything hold together when the seams feel stretched.

Some taught us how to sew a button, bake a cake, hem a skirt, thread a needle, or keep going when things did not go to plan. Others taught through love, laughter, strength, and the quiet magic of always being there.

Today is for the mums, grandmothers, step mums, mother figures, and all the wonderful women who have helped shape lives with care and patience.

Wishing you a Mother’s Day filled with love, laughter, cups of tea, hugs, and perhaps a little time to enjoy the things that bring joy. 💐

The creativity coming through our Janome Balcatta community has been incredible to see.

A number of beautiful quilts have recently been completed, each one showcasing its own unique style, colour story, and attention to detail. From bold and vibrant combinations to softer, more classic tones, every piece reflects the personality of the maker behind it.

So much time, care, and patience go into quilting, and seeing these projects come together is always something special. It is not only about the finished quilt, but also about the journey, the learning, and the shared passion along the way.

We are running a couple more Charity Sewing Days next week for Dandelions WA. ALL welcome! 10am til 3pm (and anytime inbetween you can fit in). Materials provided just bring your machines. If you have extra fabric feel free to bring it but it is not necessary. There are 4 different types of bags they are requiring. So we look forward to hosting you here soon😍 If you can't make it next week we will be doing it next month as well
