Before you spend a dollar on AV equipment, understand what the room needs to do.
Whether you’re planning a meeting room, classroom or wider AV upgrade, good planning starts with how the space will be used, not a list of equipment.
Start with three practical questions:
• Who will use the room, and what do they need to do?
• How many people does the space need to support?
• How simple does the system need to be for everyday users?
Video conferencing is a good example. The right camera and microphone setup depends on the room layout, where people sit and how they need to communicate with remote participants.
Work that out first, and the equipment decisions become much clearer.
