Back in Hollywood Hospital with lymphodema of the legs. This happens when the lymphatic system which is supposed to pump fluid back to the heart but fails to do so and instead, pumps the fluid out through the skin. In my case it’s my right leg under fire delivering excruciating pain. I’m on all sorts of medications and will probably be in here for a few days. My wife Jo is also banged up in here with Atypical Pneumonia. She’s in the Donaldson Ward and I’m in the O’Meara Ward. It will be a race to see who gets home first.

Good visit from old mate Ray Mickelberg today. Ray served with me in 3 SAS Sqn in Vietnam in 69-70. He’s still being stuffed around by the incompetent bureaucrats at DVA. This has been going on for years with no sign of a resolution. Their latest trick is to wheel out the “King Henry the 8th act” which allows the department to knock things back without referral to the Parliament. What horn-swaggled bo****ks!! If anyone out there can help Ray beat these bastards, give me a call and I’ll put you onto Ray
