Dr Elaine Ingham has been such an important voice in promoting the soil food web. I make reference to her work time and time again in my workshops. In honour of her life achievements please take the time to learn about her legacy via her school and the many youtube videos available online.

We are saddened to share that our Founder, Dr. Elaine Ingham, passed away on February 16, 2026. Her work on the soil food web transformed agriculture worldwide.

Thank you for being a leader not only for us at the Soil Food Web School and Foundation, but also a groundbreaking microbiologist and soil health pioneer whose impact is felt across the globe.

Read more about her life and contributions here -> https://soilfoodweb.com/obituary-for-dr-elaine-ingham/

And if you feel so inclined, please share your favorite memory of her in the comments.

This week Wild Gaia Plants in collaboration with Trillion Trees Australia had a busy bee for the Compost for Natives Project. We consolidated compost piles and created some new ones processing spent seedlings, leaves and wood chip. Many thanks to the Trillion Trees volunteers who came out in the heat to help 🙏😊🪴

Want to find out more about the project please contact Christel on 0408 093 711.
