That's the Base Station on the scales before a single thing goes on it.

Swing arm 35kg. Mounting rack 5kg. Wheel holder 5kg. Cargo carrier 5kg. Every extra item after that is about another 5kg.

People see the number and flinch. Here's the other half of it: the system is rated to 150kg. Take the 55kg of steel out and you've still got 95–100kg of usable payload — a spare, two jerries and a full carrier, and you're not near the ceiling.

That weight isn't a design flaw. It's a 350kg compression latch, a pinch block, an M16 anti-wobble bolt and a swing that still locks dead at 110° and 180° after a week of corrugations. Light gear rattles. This doesn't.

Worth knowing: 150kg sits at roughly 4–5% of your GVM, and the 1.5× rear axle multiplier makes it behave like ~225kg back there. A big van's 350kg ball weight puts about 480kg on the same axle. Ours is less than half that.

Rough tracks in, camp rolled out by dark. Nick, one of our Novaa customers, giving his Everest a proper run — picked his way through the rocky stuff, then swung the Base Station open and had the Novaa Drop Table on burger duty by knock-off.
