G’day, I’m Matt — the bloke behind Inked Jigz.
Inked Jigz wasn’t born in a factory, a boardroom, or a marketing meeting. It was born on the rocks, in salty air, with ink-stained hands and a stubborn belief that better jigs can be built by people who actually squid.
Every jig I make is handcrafted from the ground up — designed, poured, tuned, tested, and refined with one goal in mind: to catch squid consistently and honestly. No shortcuts. No mass production. No cookie-cutter moulds pumping out the same thing a thousand times over.
Each Inked Jigz jig is its own individual — unique colour flow, foil placement, contrast, weight balance, and sink profile. I obsess over the small details because squid do too… and because I take pride in my work.
I’ve spent countless hours on the water testing, tweaking, and learning — not just what catches squid, but why. From UV and contrast, to silhouette and sink rate, every design choice is deliberate. If it doesn’t earn its place, it doesn’t make the cut.
Inked Jigz is about craftsmanship, creativity, and community. It’s for the squidders who appreciate something different. Something built, not bought. Something with a bit of soul — and a lot of ink.
