The 2026 50c Christmas Decoration Coloured Silver Proof Coin is the ninth release in the Royal Australian Mint's Colours of Christmas series, and a distinctly Australian take on a summer Christmas. The design draws on the colours and organic forms of coral, rendered in purple, blue, green, pink, red, orange and yellow against detailed relief work, evoking sunlight filtering through tropical water.

The encapsulated coin comes in a bauble-shaped tin finished with swirls of colour and gold detailing, hung from a Mint-branded ribbon, with a certificate of authenticity and a foiled outer box.

Mintage of 10,000.

The Art Foil carries early sketch artwork from Walt Disney's original 101 Dalmatians model sheets on one side, and a stained-glass style rendering of one of the film's best known scenes on the other.

The Australian Wedge-Tailed Eagle 2026 1oz Bi-Metal Proof Coin pairs a gold centrepiece with a silver outer ring, both struck to proof quality. The gold carries the silhouette of a Wedge-tailed eagle in the foreground with a bald eagle behind it, both gazing to the right, and the silver ring carries the inscription and The Perth Mint's P mintmark.

Australia's largest bird of prey, named for the wedge-shaped tail that makes it recognisable across the mainland and Tasmania.

Housed in a wooden display case within a themed shipper, with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.

Some collectors start at four years old.

Yesterday it was gingerbread. Today The Perth Mint's Christmas run continues with the one to put in a stocking. The Peppa Pig Merry Christmas 2026 Collector Coin shows Peppa, Mummy Pig, Daddy Pig, George and baby Evie peeking out through the branches of a decorated Christmas tree, with presents gathered at the base and ornaments all around.

It comes in a Christmas themed box, so it is ready to give as it is, and it is a good first coin for someone who has not started collecting yet.
