Lots have been happening in the background at Blue Moon Collectables and Antiques in Pinjarra as we acquire/catalogue/clean, repair, restore & curate stock for availability.
The costume brooches have been restocked & more vintage compacts are available; a few silver rings, pendants & brooches have come in too.
We have acquired another hall stand for displaying the hats, shoes & handbags.
The front counter has had a shuffle to make way for more vintage cuff links; many still in original boxes. Several vintage pocket lighters, lots in original boxes, all in working order are now available.
Robert has been busy restoring a few wooden items including a 1930-40's 2 tier oak occasional table. It would be great as a lamp table with room for a stack of vintage books underneath, a photo frame on top or your favourite house plant.
A gorgeous Victorian rosewood travel box took a bit of work. Original use was for storing writing & equipment, diary & other personal effects [it's not writing table).
I'm addicted to lamps & we just had to acquire this stunning Art Deco barley twist floor lamp. It was tired looking but Robert has restored the thirsty wood just enough that it maintains its graceful age. Made from a mix of oak & sheoak, it is all about the Deco style. Sits solid on the floor on a tiered base on feet with sweeping columns around the base.
The Wembley Ware Society are calling in on Saturday 19th September & we are expecting a group of about 20 people.
The Wembley cabinet has been stocked including a large Dhu Fish platter in great condition & a small private collection is available displayed on the Welsh dresser (cash only on these pieces).
We are open 7 days a week 10-5.
