Come and say hello to John Waller Saturday from 1pm.
‘The relationship between figure, structure and landscape remains deliberately unresolved. Architectural forms appear as fragments or interventions within broader spatial fields, negotiating the boundary between interior and exterior, intimacy and immensity, presence and absence.
These etchings extend Waller’s longstanding investigation of the Australian landscape, approaching the interior not as a fixed geographical subject but as a conceptual and perceptual space. Through reduction, fragmentation and tonal restraint, the works evoke the stillness, austerity and psychological resonance of the Australian interior.‘
Also showing in the QG Salon: Julianne Ross Allcorn, Rick Amor, Antonio Balletta, David Frazer, Steve Lopes and Soula Mantalvanos.
