A lovely afternoon sharing The Messy Formist closer to home 🌿
Yesterday, my family welcomed more than 40 members of the Kadina Cottage Garden Club out to the farm for an afternoon filled with flowers, gardens, conversation, and forms inspired by nature.
Their first stop was next door at Little Kalkabury Farm, where the ranunculus are currently putting on quite the show, then I had the opportunity to share a little about The Messy Formist.
I spoke about why I started TMF, the thinking behind my products, and one of the biggest influences on the forms I create: nature.
From Fibonacci Sequence spirals, to tree rings and pinecones, to the patterns and proportions, such as the Golden Ratio, that appear throughout the natural world, these forms have influenced art, architecture and design for centuries. In turn, both nature and architecture have become part of the visual language behind TMF.
It was so lovely chatting with everyone, answering questions and seeing TMF pieces head home with their new owners. Bergamot and Lavender Task Tealights™ were popular choices for the day.
