Mrs Mac' Santa Sacks create handmade, personalised Santa Sacks. Lovingly sewn on the NSW Mid North Coast. Here we are finishing off some of our newest designs.

We're excited to share that this year, Mrs Mac's Santa Sacks is partnering with The Salvation Army to spread some Christmas joy. The Salvation Army Christmas Appeal is an annual event that aims to raise much needed funds to support those facing hardship.

For every Santa Sack we sell between now and the end of December, a portion of the proceeds will go directly to support the Salvo's and the important work they do across our community, particularly over the Christmas period - kindness, generosity, giving, sharing.

Thank you for helping us give back, and for making this season a little brighter for everyone.

DIY scrap fabric scrunchie.

I have been making some of these scrunchies as giveaways and for upcoming charity fundraisers. Like many sewers I have so many fabric scraps and trimmings, but weirdly I keep most of them, because I hate waste and so much of them can be re-used/re-purposed.
I have used 2 strips because my scraps are odd shapes and sizes, plus it means I make a range of different sized scrunchies for different hair lengths.

I think they're a great little gift idea, a quick christmas craft if you're feeling festive, and if you're feeling brave the kids can definately join in the making - very easy!

I have made my technique using a combo of these 2 videos, but there are heaps online that you can check out also.

We have spent the day prepping for Halloween. It wasn't something I did growing up, but have found myself getting into the spirit. We have cobwebs, pumpkin lights, we've been baking, and the boys let me have the red zombie tape because they know red is my favourite colour (cuties). We have outfits, and lollies, and even had Hotel Transylvania on for rest time (summer vacation of course).
But to be honest it all feels a little bit christmassy (controversial perhaps), or maybe that's just me. No complaints though, I'm always happy to join in a celebration, plus i've found myself a new work pal.
