Peak Coffee

Happy International Coffee Day! ☕️

Today we’re celebrating the mighty bean…the one that fuels early mornings, late nights, big ideas, small talk, and the occasional ‘I swear I’m fine’ face! 😬 Coffee isn’t just a drink; it’s a cultural, social and economic powerhouse that connects farmers, roasters, baristas and caffeine addicts across the globe.

And while today shines a spotlight on the incredible producers who make our brews possible, we at MAD want to give a huge, heartfelt shout out to the local legends who keep us rolling.

We spent this morning caffeinating the hard workers at Birdon, Expressway Spares Pty Ltd and Eire Constructions - three crews who prove productivity skyrockets by at least 400% when the MAD Coffee Van rolls in (totally scientific, don’t question it). 😉

A massive thank you to Peak Coffee, whose second to none beans keep our machine humming, our customers smiling, and our van smelling like heaven on wheels.

To every business that reaches out- whether it’s for the daily coffee run, a fundraising gig, or a corporate event - thank you! Your support doesn’t just keep your team buzzing….it helps us feed people doing it tough in our community. Every sip genuinely makes a difference.

If you’d like the MAD ABOUT COFFEE van to visit your workplace, or event, give us a shout. We’re always happy to chat about your needs, your coffee dreams, and your preferred level of froth.

Brilliant brews + community impact = the best kind of caffeine equation. 💚

Twenty years of photos in the archives, and one thing stands out: the people. The team we’ve built, the growers who’ve hosted us, the cafes who backed us early, and every customer who’s walked through the door.

Don’t forget we’re celebrating on Friday September 18th with a free coffee day!

09/09/2026

Back in 2006 we were the first coffee roaster on the Mid North Coast, a small operation with a simple idea: this region deserved better coffee. Two decades on, we’re still here, roasting every week for over 200 cafes, our own Brew Lab, and a whole lot of people who just want a good coffee. Somewhere along the way we picked up a few Golden Bean awards too, which still feels a bit surreal.

None of it happened on its own. Thank you to our customers, who’ve turned up morning after morning. To our cafe partners, who put our beans in front of their people and trusted us to get it right. To our growers, our suppliers, and everyone who’s kept us stocked, sharp and honest. And to Port Macquarie — this town made us.

So we’re shouting. Friday 18 September is Free Coffee Day. Come in, grab one on us, say hello. No catch, no purchase, just twenty years worth of thank you.

Chuck’s down in Melbourne for Fine Food Expo, hitting some great cafes and bringing home a pile of ideas. Standout so far: a pre batched co-ferment at Project Zero Coffee ☕

🇨🇴 We’re raising a fund for Colombia.

Earthquakes have devastated communities across Quindío, Popayán and Pereira, and the recovery is going to be long.

We’re helping our friends at Cofinet, who are organising a humanitarian aid container bound for Colombia. It’s expected to arrive late October / early November.

For every bag of our Colombian coffee sold, we’re putting $7 into the fund. You can also donate directly if you’d like to add to it.

Rather than sending money overseas, every dollar raised goes into buying essential goods that physically go into that container:

☕ Hygiene and personal care products
☕ Baby essentials and nappies
☕ Canned and non-perishable food
☕ Drinking water
☕ Tents, sleeping mats and mattresses
☕ Torches and batteries
☕ Shovels, pickaxes and tools
☕ Cement and rebuilding materials

Every donation and every item going into the container is recorded, so you’ll be able to see exactly where your support ends up. We’ll be sharing photos and updates the whole way through.

Buy a bag, or chip in here 👇
