An Arts and Crafts store with a wide range of art, craft, mixed media & specialty paper supplies. Formerly Alice in Paperland. Why did we rebrand?

Because people thought we only sold paper. Alice in Paperland is a unique business as an Arts & Crafts store with a cafe called Coffee at Alice's, gift shop, creative classes and workshops. If you are interested in anything crafty, would like to do a class or two with some awesome teachers or want to pop in for a great coffee and food, this is the place to go. The craft shop is packed with products for all craft and artist's needs and the gift shop carries finished artwork for sale which are all locally made.

What's on this week?!?

We have a busy week coming up and the shop will be open this Saturday from 9am to 12 noon.

Tuesday- Splatter and Chatter

Thursday 1st- DOUBLE POP UP DIAMOND TWIST CHRISTMAS CARD With Vicky. This is a beautiful Christmas card which is sure to impress. Pick your own Christmas papers according to your taste. $11.90 9.30 to 11am. 1 spots left

Thursday 1st- ART HIVE. Every Thursday, a group of artists get together to create, share ideas and socialise. Waiting list only.

Friday and Saturday 2nd and 3rd- GEL PRESS MONO PRINTING With Thea Horsman.

Experiment with acrylic paint on fabric or paper using the gel plate. Create prints to ultimately create a piece of art or a bag.
We will explore:
Mark making with found objects, Eco printing, Layering, Stencils and stamps
9am to 3pm on both days. $139.50.
* If you require a gel press and brayer, we have a fantastic deal for those who are enrolling. Jut $49 for an 8x10" quality gel press and 4" brayer. You get to take them home and keep after the workshops. The regular value for both is $87.99.
* We will provide you with all the papers, fabric and quality paints for the workshop. 2 spots left.

Saturday 3rd - JUNK JOURNAL GROUP 9am to 12 noon. There is no lesson on this day. Come together and work on your journals. $5

What's On This Week?!?

Besides our regular art groups, we have a DIY DAY on Friday 25th. This group is more for paper crafters but anyone is welcome.

From 9am, although you can arrive whenever you like, you can stay until the shop shuts at 3pm. This is a good day to catch up on unfinished projects, bounce ideas off other like minded people, socialise and have fun. We provide a light morning tea. House tea/coffee on the house and barista coffee will be available for purchase. You'll need to bring your own lunch if staying for the day. We have a fridge, freezer and heating facilities.

You'll need to bring your own equipment and projects and cost is $8 for the day. Must book as we're almost full. To book, either message or call our shop on 02 6581 5663.

Tuesday 15th- COASTAL CREATIVES Abstract Painting Group. Last year Thea ran a class on abstract painting and not only was it a great day, the class wanted to form a group because of it. Every 4th Tuesday we will have the abstract painting group coming together to create and share ideas. Waiting list only now.

Thursday 17th- ART HIVE. Every Thursday, a group of artists get together to create, share ideas and socialise. If you are interested in joining, please ask. The group is almost full.

Friday 18th- JUNK JOURNAL GROUP 9am to the afternoon.

What's on this week?!?

Apologies for the delay of our weekly post. One blink and it's Wednesday. 😟

Anyway.... Besides our regular groups, we have two classes on Friday.

Craft n' Chat is booked out but we have room for 3 in the afternoon for the Uniquely Creative Wings & Wheels Cark Kits. $36. The kit will have enough to make 10 plus another, at least 20 cards. 12.30 to 3pm.

We forgot to mention in our What's On This Week update that we have JUNK JOURNALING this Saturday. Some ladies from out of town wanted to attend and thought it wasn't on. Yes, it is on Saturday from 9am to 12 noon.

What's on this week?!?

After a HIGE week last week, we have a quieter one this week. Besides our art and U3A groups, we have a class on Friday with Leanne.

Friday 4th- FOUR PANEL BOOK CARD With Leanne. This is just gorgeous and can be used for any occasion. 9.30 to 12.30 $18.50

Saturday 5th- SHOP OPEN from 9am to 12 noon. Gerard Smith will also be in store so if you have any technical art questions, that's a good day to to catch up with Gerard. If you could let us know prior, it would help us to get organised at our end.

Also, out 20c paper sale continues until this Saturday. 12x12" and A4 in size. Mostly hot foiled and glitter papers. Perfect for papercrafts, invitations, origami, letter writing, wrapping paper and so much more.

The two day Chinese watercolour painting workshop is well underway. Besides creating some beautiful artwork, Stephen is entertaining the students with his awesome sense of humour.

We have many classes and groups held on our premises but there's one group who have been here for around 9 years if not more, that doesn't often get a mention. This amazing group is the Port Macquarie U3A (University of third age) Cardmakers group.

Almost the entire group are still the original enrolments so they're advanced enough to teach but they choose to come here each week and make cards, while socialising with friends. Lots of friendships have been formed over the years as one can imagine.

For those not in the Port Macquarie area, U3A can be found all over Australia, running a huge range of courses and classes. Most teachers volunteer so the cost is low. You can find them online in your area.

Welcome to Monday! We have a BIG week coming up, with our regular groups, classes and a two day watercolour workshop with special guest Stephen Cassettari. Our shop will be open right through to Saturday 2pm.

Wednesday 26th U3A Cardmaking 10am to 12 noon. You will need to book through U3A directly for the term.

Thursday 27th- DIAMOND HAMMOCK GATEFOLD CARD With Vicky. Another beautiful card that will surely impress. $12.50 9.30 to 11am.

Friday 28th and Saturday 29th CHINESE WATERCOLOUR PAINTING with special guest Stephen Cassettari

Cost: One day $70 or both days $125
Friday 9.30 to 2.30 and Saturday 10am to 3.30pm
We have a couple of spots left. Please ask for further details.

Also, we have a paper sale of beautiful 12x12, foil embossed papers for JUST 20c per sheet. They were $2.50 per sheet. We cleared out a warehouse in bulk of over 20,000 sheets of paper so out they go at 20c per sheet. The sale is on now and right through to Saturday, until sold out.
