D&B goes powered.

The new d&b U-Series is on display at Factory Sound, in passive and, for the first time from d&b, powered. That means no amp needed.

Anthony Murdoch from NAS takes us through it. In typical d&b fashion there's a twist: the powered models can even run off PoE++ with Milan audio networking.

Come down and hear them for yourself.

THE DOORS ARE OPEN!

Taking it back to the night we opened Factory Sound Melbourne. The ribbon was cut, the studio was fired up, the line arrays went up and brought the house down.

Thank you again to our brand partners, our team and every friend of the industry who filled the room.

Pro audio, studio, DJ and lighting, all under one roof. Come in, get hands on, and our shop floor crew will take you through the gear.

For three decades, an old warehouse on York Street, South Melbourne, was where Melbourne’s sound was made.

Rehearsal rooms first. Then microphones, cables and gaffer tape over the counter. Then consoles, speakers and touring rigs going out the roller door.

In 2026 we had outgrown the space and had to moved on. Before the doors closed for good, we sat down with some of the people who made the place what it was, and let them tell our story.

This is The Final Note of York Street.
