⚠️⚠️ ATTENTION ⚠️⚠️

A small change to our infused incense sticks is coming…

You may start noticing something a little different about our infused incense over the coming months.

We’re gradually moving away from our familiar black charcoal incense sticks and transitioning to natural wood-powder incense sticks on an uncoloured bamboo core.

The fragrance themselves aren changing, and neither is the way we infuse our incense in-house — this is simply a change to the unscented base stick we start with.

Because we still have charcoal stock on hand, the transition will happen gradually rather than all at once. So for a little while, you may receive either the traditional black sticks or the newer natural brown sticks depending on when your batch was made.

It’s a small change, but one we’re excited to make as our incense range continues to grow — especially alongside the arrival of our new handmade infused incense cones.

Same fragrances. Same in-house infusion process. A new natural-looking base underneath them. 🌿

Every cottage eventually goes quiet for the night, which is where Dreamtide fits into the collection.

Winter Nights gives the fragrance its deeper, atmospheric character, while Lotus Flower softens it with a gentle floral note.

It’s calmer and cooler than the warmer fragrances in the collection, making it a lovely choice for evenings and quieter spaces.

Dreamtide will be available in Infused Incense Sticks and Handmade Infused Incense Cones.

Next is Lavender by the Gate — Lilac • Lavender • Lemon.

The Witch’s Cottage couldn’t all happen indoors, so this one belongs out by the garden gate.

Lilac and lavender give the fragrance its soft floral character, while lemon adds brightness and freshness to keep it from becoming too heavy or powdery.

It’s the lighter, fresher member of the collection — floral, clean and just a little nostalgic.

Next from The Witch’s Cottage is By Candle & Oak — Oak-Aged Whiskey • White Amber • Musk.

This is the richer, darker member of the collection, inspired by aged timber, old rooms and the warmth that seems to settle into a well-lived-in space over time.

Oak-aged whiskey brings depth and woody character, while white amber and musk smooth the fragrance out and give it a warm finish.

And despite the name, it isn’t intended to smell like a glass of whiskey — it’s the oak, warmth and aged character that made it such a good fit for the collection.

Every cottage needs a little warmth at its heart, which made Keeper of the Flame the natural place to begin the collection.

Lindenwood gives the fragrance its soft woody character, while vanilla adds gentle warmth and sweetness without making it overly sugary.

It’s simple, warm and comforting — the sort of fragrance made for making home feel just a little cosier.

We’ve been working on a new addition to our incense range, and they’re finally ready to start making their way out into the world.

Our new cones begin with a handmade natural wood-powder incense base, which we then infuse in-house with fragrance oils — much like our infused incense sticks.

Each cone is approximately 2 inches tall, with 5 cones per pack.

His name is pronounced a little differently depending on the form being used: roughly “goyv-nyoo” in reconstructed Old Irish, or “GIV-nyuh” in Modern Irish.

In Irish mythology, Goibniu is the legendary smith of the Tuatha Dé Danann, renowned for his craftsmanship and skill at the forge — making him a natural fit for The Sacred Forge.

His fragrance is warm and grounded, with rich leather, dry cedar and smooth amber bringing everything together.

Goibniu will be available in Beard Oil, Beard Balm and Beard Butter.

First from The Sacred Forge is Lugh (pronounced “Loo”) — Orange • Saffron • Cedar.

In Irish mythology, Lugh is associated with skill, mastery and many different arts and crafts — which made him a pretty fitting place to begin a collection inspired by the forge.

His fragrance is warm and woody, with a little brightness from orange, subtle spice from saffron and a grounding cedar finish.

Lugh will be available in Beard Oil, Beard Balm and Beard Butter.
