He planted an acorn he found at The Village Green, long before she was even in his life. This is what it looks like when you give kids free rein in a garden. Things grow here and there, and wildly, without “design”. Ours will never be an award winning garden. It will be, “Here’s the ‘Acorn Tree’, that Finn planted. Here is Arlen’s birch. Here are the random calendula they threw down while wandering through”. “Oh, there’s more mint”. This morning, I heard them outside, still so early, the warm wind and the garden called them barefooted, to plant. I don’t even know what they buried beneath the mulch. I guess we’ll see come Spring.

We had a great time yesterday sharing our love of at Taroona Community Garden. Did you know Bokashi is simple, cheap, and a fermented waste- that adds vital nutrients to your compost system? It’s awareness week. And we were so glad to share our joy of Bokashi with the wonderful humans .
