Sad to see the passing of an old friend, fantastic oboe maker and inspiration, Phillippe Rigoutat. I have great memories of time spent with him travelling Australia promoting his wonderful instruments.

Customer Service & Sales Specialist – Musical Instruments

Up to 4 Days Per Week (Flexible) to start with. Could potentially lead to full time. Must be able to work Saturdays.

Do you enjoy helping people, solving problems, and being part of a friendly, specialist business?

We’re looking for a reliable and enthusiastic person to join our established woodwind and brass music business.

This is a varied role where you’ll work closely with musicians, students, teachers and schools, helping them find the right instruments, accessories and solutions.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Assisting customers in-store, by phone and online
* Sales of instruments, accessories and music-related products
* Processing orders and customer enquiries
* Inventory and stock management
* General administration and computer-based tasks
* Supporting marketing and promotional activities
* Helping maintain a welcoming and professional store environment

We’re looking for someone who:

* Genuinely enjoys working with people
* Has excellent communication skills
* Is reliable and takes pride in their work
* Is organised and able to manage multiple tasks
* Has good computer skills
* Works well independently and as part of a small team
* Is willing to learn and contribute wherever needed

Experience in music is highly regarded.

A background in music, particularly woodwind or brass, would be an advantage, but the right attitude and customer focus are more important than specific product knowledge.
