Reminder: Macquarie Towns Arts Society - Monthly Demonstration Meeting Pen and Coloured Inks with Dan Moulton, Tuesday, 11th August 2026 at Stan Stevens Studio, Deerubbin Centre Windsor

Dan will demonstrate his beautiful and popular naive art techniques using Pen and Coloured Inks.

Both members and non-members are welcome to join our meetings to view an inspirational artist at work each month, as well as the opportunity to enjoy networking with like-minded art enthusiasts.

Cost: $5 entry at the door
Supper: provided
Parking: Please remember to park outside due to early car park closure.

About Dan Moulton:

Dan Moulton is an Australian based artist, happily married to Sarah and the father of three gorgeous young girls.

Nurtured in his sketching from a young age, Dan often gravitated to the visual image as a way to express ideas with a particular love of vibrant colour, paper mediums and black pen on paper.

He pursued a graphic design degree with the aim to specialise in illustration, and through his 20’s Dan fell in love with coloured inks as his primary medium. He found the inks give intensity of colour on paper that he couldn’t quite walk away from.

Dan has had three solo exhibitions, and just last year he won the Singleton Art Prize 2025, Winner Acquisitive (Section E: Pencil/Pen/Ink).

These days Dan’s enjoyment in the art practice is a refined version of what he has always loved about art. The hard work of bringing to paper a vague version of that original spark of an idea, developing it further and then sending it out into the world to be free to find a home. Dan hopes that it can bring some happiness, peace and inspire people with how big and astonishing life can be.

He has an insatiable love of paper, the ferocious intensity of coloured inks and feels most at home with a black pen and a diary nearby.

Resin Art Workshop – Saturday, 1st August 2026

We will be having our Resin Art Workshop on Saturday, 1st August 2026!

In this workshop, we will introduce the basic techniques of using resin, including mixing, colouring and various pouring methods. You will get to explore the many ways resin can be used to produce gorgeous, glossy and flowing designs.

Resin can be used to enhance and decorate a wide range of surfaces and items, including art canvases, cheese boards, coasters, trays and furniture. It can also be cast into unique pieces of jewellery. Your artworks can decorate your walls or you can give it as a gift to your family and friends.

You will complete a canvas, coaster and cheese board in this Resin Class.

It gets a little bit messy, but it is a lot of fun!

Where: Richmond Art Supplies, 1/328 Windsor St. Richmond NSW
Workshop date: Saturday, 1st August 2026
Time: 12:30pm – 3:30pm
Cost: $170
Bookings Essential: Book here or call 02 4578 3555 for more information.

Resin artworks need to stay level to set and cure for at least 12 hours, so are best left at the venue and picked up later in the week.
